Reports from Austria suggest this is likely to lead to a massive increase in COPD in the composing years.

Yeah Haydn and Schubert both suffered badly with it.

Footballer Paulo Dybala has had it 4 times in 6 weeks

Crap headline, but from what i understand, if you test positive, you're re-tested over preset intervals. It's only when you test negative a couple of times in a row that you're "cured."

TL;DR: Dude's not cured despite having it for a min. of 6 weeks

Doesn't that mean that he's had it for 6 weeks, not that he's contracted it several times?

That's what I thought . But just realised it's the scum , thought it were the mirror. He has had 4 positive tests in 6 weeks.

In the UK, there has been an increase in children suffering from Kawasaki disease during the pandemic.

Nobody knows what the link is. Indeed the causes of Kawasaki disease are not even known in the first place.

Anyway, Tomisaku Kawasaki, the Japanese doctor who first described the condition in 1960, is still alive and turned 95 in Feb.

So I’m going to cross post this a few threads, so please indulge me this once.

I’m aware he isn’t notable to anyone but me.  That’s fine, but his obit deserves proper placement and frankly I wasn’t sure what that meant.  I sat on this obit a few days not knowing what to do so this is my solution.

I now know someone personally who has died from C19.  This was my high school (American) football coach.  So this was rather stunning and sad news.  I also graduated with their daughter, meaning she is experiencing the unthinkable.

RIP coach.

Armand Vigna, the former Livonia Franklin head coach, who coached football for more than 40 years, helped the Patriots to its only state title in 1975, the first Division 1 state title in the history of Michigan high school football.

Vigna and his wife Ruthie died April 28 from the coronavirus within 12 hours of each other. Both were 84.

I'll do a list in a bit, but with Bolsanaro refusing to take the virus seriously, a bunch of famous Brazilians (at least famous in Brazil, if not worldwide) seem to be dying of the virus.
