King Charles III

Recommended Posts

Might as well open a thread for him as he's managed to get the 'rona.

71 years old, self isolating, displaying mild symptoms.

You can guarantee he won't be in an NHS bed sucking on an oxygen mask.

Most obvious question for us is when did he last see his dad....

Unsure about Prince Philip, but he last saw The Queen on 12 March and the extended family was last together on 9 March.

I doubt his parents have it. Even his wife was tested negative.

Agree it is unlikely but if Prince Phillip has it, it will almost certainly finish him off though saying that the Car Crash last year should of done that.

Even if he hasn’t given it to Phillip yet it shows, that even with the best security in the world, if you are contact with people you can get it.

What would happen if, let's say:

Charles dies. And then, God forbid, Elizabeth dies for whatever reason (old age, the rona)? I am not British, and not too familair with the royals over there besides names etc.

If Charles were to die before William, then William would become heir apparent as that's how the line of succession goes. Once Elizabeth follows, William would become King.

I'm honestly not convinced Phil is still alive.

William is 3rd in line unless he dies in which case George gets it..........

The succession is

  1. Big Liz
  2. Charlie Boy
  3. Willz
  4. Georgey Porgey
  5. Charlotte
  6. Louis
  7. Harry
  8. Archie
  9. Andrew
  10. Beatrice

If he becomes King, certainly.  If he dies before ... no.

Is Harry still in line of sucession as he quit being a senior royal?

There was a good Spitting Image sketch I can't find online, where the Queen sings I Will Survive on karaoke, but changes the line to "As long as Charlies next in line, I've got to stay alive!"

That's the one. "Uploaded 2017" - OK, maybe a wee bit longer since my last look than I'd assumed...

"I'll live to 95".....

Could Spitting Image be right?

Seems pretty likely at this point.

Could see the Queen living to well in excess of 100.

It's the Greeks ability to remain alive that baffles me.

If he were to get closer to the throne then he would have to take a decision but not being a senior royal in the current sense means he is not getting paid for doing 'royal things' does not affect his birthright.

Should be noted that if George becomes 'King' before becoming an adult (which is to say, Elizabeth, Charles and Wills all cark it), Harry becomes regent until such time George becomes an adult. Which would be an interesting time in and of itself because if Harry refuses that, regency goes to resident paedo Andrew.
