MMMDP 2020

Well done Toast. Took on the ambulance chasers of the forum and pretty much kick their arses with a solid well known name in hospital pick everyone else overlooked.

Willie's gorn!

Well done Toast - always good when the ambulance chaser pools are won by an actual celebrity.

Now for the podium places!

Good pick Toast, even if we had to wait 2 and a half weeks for it, it was worth it!

Good one Toast, and I’m glad the winning name was actually a proper famous.

Indeed - adding to the congrats and noting that whilst I was wandering through the countryside and ignoring everything we had only one significant death. I'm seeing no dispute so far. Assuming there are no belated claims in the next 24 hours Toast will duly be PM'd with regard to a suitable prize.

No, actually this year picks are well below the MMMDP average. Who has the best odds?

1)Tommy Palmer: cancer hospice care means his time is limited. Likely the winner.

2)Killer Tim Brooks: really on borrowed time. He's the pick everyone need to beat.

3)Derek Draper: it does not seem imminent, but still good chance

4)Tom Smith: long time terminally ill, could go at any moment

5)Bhanwarlal Meghwal: still in a coma apparently, but stable enough to make me presume nothing is imminent

The rest of the picks should need a lucky strike to score.

QED...

So, Toast's public spiritedness and my credit card have combined to make the Dogs Trust (no apostrophe before the grammar Nazis descend!) richer to the tune of £10, plus gift aid benefits.

The only remaining question being whether this thread will now die more quickly than the twenty low hanging talents who couldn't match Willie Thorne's winning performance.

Seriously, just like buses

So, whilst there's still some strength in the thread a few observations

Slow start getting everyone in and really slow start in terms of any of the talent delivering as we hoped but, I'm minded to give this low maintenance wonder a 2021 run out

I'm also minded to tweak the rules  to add some tension by way of giving the totterers a chance to best us all and calling an end to proceedings at midnight on midsummer's day even if all 21 are still breathing.

That agreeable to the masses who frequent the competition?

Am I missing something? She still breathes?

It was encouragement to the finish line not a celebration. I would have posted a link if I were claiming victory
