Susan Boyle is 60, a classic example of being in the right place at the right time but with the wrong face but as of 2021, Boyle has sold 19 million records, and has an estimated net worth of £22 million so musn't grumble.

Former England & Warwickshire opening batsman Dennis Amiss is 78 today. One of only 25 men to score 100 first-class centuries, and also the first to score a century in a one-day international (he became the first to score a century in his last as well - Desmond Haynes being the only player to do so since), and the first to score a century in the ODI World Cup (in the first ever World Cup match, v India, 1975, in which Sunil Gavaskar scored 36*, having batted for 60 overs).

He's also credited with being the first player to wear a batting-helmet on a regular basis (in WSC, rather than test cricket).
