OK so I've spent a bit of time catching up on where we are with this one, and the current scores are :

5th Miracle Aligner - 12 points

Joint 2nd : Great Uncle Bulgaria, msc and Buffalo Phil - all on 13 points

1st : Rover And Out with 16 points.

The managers still in place that will score are

Grant McCann (Hull) - MA, GUB, msc, RAO, BP

Paul Warne (Rotherham) - MA, GUB, RAO, BP

Michael Duff (Cheltenham) - msc, BP

Pep Guardiola (Man City) - msc, BP

David Artell (Crewe) - BP

Marcelo Bielsa (Leeds) - RAO

Danny Bloor (Eastbourne) - GUB

Carlos Corberan (Huddersfield) - RAO

Paul Doswell (Havant & Waterlooville) - GUB

Sean Dyche (Burnley) - MA, RAO
John Coleman (Accrington) - MA

Darren Ferguson (Peterborough) - BP

Ralph Hasenhuttl (Southampton) - msc

Hakan Hayrettin (Maidstone) - GUB

Nathan Jones (Luton) - MA
Ryan Lowe (Plymouth) - GUB

Ian McCall (Partick Thistle) - msc

James McPake (Dundee) - msc

Tony Mowbray (Blackburn) - GUB
David Moyes (West Ham) - MA
Graham Potter (Brighton) - MA
Brian Reid (Albion Rovers) - msc
Gary Rowett (Millwall) - MA
Mark Warburton (QPR) - BP

Immediately obvious is that the game can't finish until Grant McCann leaves Hull, as we've all got him!

If you spot any errors, let me know. I've now got this saved in a spreadsheet so will keep it updated.

And Hull are doing Ok at the moment so that might not be imminent.

They're out of the relegation zone on goal difference, which isn't that OK.

Admittedly they have won their last 2, which has slightly increased the radius of his circle around the drain.

For some reason when I go googled them it gave last years final placing.

Should also say, particularly to @Great Uncle Bulgaria and @msc as my awareness of Scottish and non-league football isn't as high as it could be, if you notice that one of your remaining picks has got the tin tack, do post in case I miss it!

Thanks for catching this up Phil, my attentions have been somewhat elsewhere recently during what has suddenly turned into sacking season! Think I'll end up losing due to my slightly biased selection of the ginger Dingle Sean Dyche. Although, in my defence, when I picked him, it looked like he'd lost patience with never having money to spend. My saving grace may be if they go down, he might pull an Eddie Howe and decide it's time to move on. I can't see anyone wanting to poach him.

Greenock Morton have sacked Gus McPherson. He replaced David Hopkin who has since joined and left Ayr United.

Hopefully, Morton will appoint another dumpling who will relegate them. Peter Grant or Martin Canning would do nicely.

Btw, Hopeless Hopkin succeeded Jonatan Johansson who is married to that very irritating Glaswegian presenter on "A Place In The Sun".

Is there a new competition or round in 2022? If so, when does it start?

Ryan Lowe is a hit for me, leaves Plymouth to take over at Preston.

No, this game continues until someone gets a full house of 20 departed managers.

Current leader has 4 to go, the rest of us have half a dozen or so.

Claudio Ranieri has been sacked by Watford.

That's the fifth Watford manager to leave the club in the 556 days since this thread was started :o

I'm entering the next round with the current and 19 subsequent Watford managers.

Poor old Elton John must be tearing his hair out about his beloved Watford.

That'll be expensive to fix too.

Think of all the money they have spent paying off managers, they could have bought decent players with that money!

Well, it can't finish in a 5-way tie now...

Yep all five contenders score with Grant McCann. Apologies - particular to Rover And Out - but I had him in the lead on 16 prior to McCann's sacking, when in fact he was on 15.

Current standings :

Rover And Out - 16 (remaining managers : Paul Warne, Marcelo Bielsa, Carlos Corberan, Sean Dyche)

Great Uncle Bulgaria - 15 (remaining : Tony Mowbray, Paul Warne, Paul Doswell, Hakan Hayrettin, Danny Bloor)

msc - 14 (remaining : Ralph Hasenhuttl, Pep Guardiola, Michael Duff, James McPake, Brian Reid, Ian McCall)

BuffaloPhil - 14 (remaining : Mark Warburton, Pep Guardiola, Paul Warne, Michael Duff, Darren Ferguson, David Artell)

Miracle Aligner - 13 (remaining : Sean Dyche, Paul Warne, John Coleman, Nathan Jones, Graham Potter, Gary Rowett, David Moyes)

Paul Warne is now the most picked survivor as everyone other than msc has him, and with Rotherham challenging at the top end of League One he may well stay for a while.
