    Leslie Phillips and Jim Dale are the only 2 surviving actors who were in at least 4 Carry On films in major roles . Phillips is now by far and away the longest lived  of all the main Carry in stars. How long will he go on??????????

    I am deeply saddened to hear this news, although I expected it. I knew going into a care home would finish her off.She was too big a personality to be shut in one of those places.I just hope she didn't catch covid.So sad such a big personality was taken away by dementia. Still at least she didn't suffer with it for longer I don't mind saying that I am typing this with tears in my eyes.:(

     

     PS  I am also sad that she was not on this years list.

    She may look lovely but she is probably just as evil as her husband or she wouldn't still be married to him.Just like Melania Trump probably agrees with everything Donald does. They are enablers of their husbands evil policies not innocent victims of them . Pretty faces but ugly souls! Also the fact Bashar is still alive proves yet again that only the good die young ! I dare say he will die in his sick bed at 95 like Mugabe, sadly..

    I drew up a list of the oldest famous people in January.Not one of the 8 oldest have died. Surely one or 2 of them must go soon.The nearest to die is Roberta McCain who was 9th on the list. They can't live forever !

    Godot, I completely agree with you. Sometimes, listening to Barry Davies was a joy, but for every moment of commentating genius, he ruined it by moaning. I think you hit the nail spot on & bang! Still, BD was far better than the current new crop of football commentators (Tydelsley especially).

     

    Arlott was class personified. Reading supporter too, so he had excellent taste!! :ph34r:

    Sad to know that the old perv Stuart Hall is the only survivor from that list.It really is true that only the good die young !
