    This has really shocked me. Only 3 weeks ago he was told he had cancer and dead allready

     At just 44? Something is not right here...:unsure: I wonder if the priest at  his funeral will say 'From Dustin to dust' just f or a laugh.Maybe not ...:mellow:

    Well it's one of the few years we didn't get a hit in January so clearly we are not going to have as good a  year as l ast year. Maybe that was inevitable to some extent , but not having Larry King on the list was clearly a mistake I think everyone can agree. We can only hope that one of the lingerers such as Leslie Phiips or BOB DOLE can finally oblige us in February 
    !

    Looks pretty much like a coup to me .Well thats the end of the illusion of  democracy in Myanmar then.There had been rumours of a coup for days.Looks like the military were inspired by Donald Trump ! Does Aung San Suu Kyi go back to being an internationally respected freedom fighter now despite her abandonment of the Rohingyas? She can always say the military wouldn't let her give them their freedom now !     I can't believe someone as iconic as Captain Tom , at the age of 100, wasn't one of the first to be vaccinated ! 

     

    His heroic story will not be complete unless he lays down his life to the enemy ie corona. Lying on a sunbed in Barbados didn't seem right at all to me !

    This is all entirely academic.There is no reason to believe that Jimmy Carter is going to die in the next few weeks,  other than the fact I've just mentioned it ! I highly doubt Trump wil take a day off from golfing to attend Carters funeral though whenever it is. He might not even go to Melanias !

    Actually, that might be Annie Nightingale now I come to think of it.

    Annie Nightingale is older than my mum ! How does she get to stay a radio one DJ so long? Chris Moyles was axed for being to old at 38 , and he was probably the best DJ they ever had !

    Sometimes  just sometimes award committees who decide on who gets a lifetime achievement award give them to notable people who they are worried may only have a few years left and want to make sure they acknowledge them in time....

    She is beautiful for 83 isn't she !

    Google “moped gangs London”. Happens all the time in London (albeit it’s not as bad as it used to be). In the last company I worked in 10 of my colleagues had their mobiles swiped over a period of a month as they were walking down the street in The City.
     

    The moped riders are part of petty theft gang networks that operate across the whole of central London. They take the devices, wipe them clean then resell the parts to international markets where they’ll probably get 50% of what they sell for retail in the UK.

    Fortunately I don't live in London so this level of violence is still quite shocking to me !

    I concur. Truly awful film. Apocalyptic disaster movies always do well at the box office so the hype around it was pretty big and so many were disappointed.

    If you haven't seen it allready you should watch Greenland.It's a bit more realistic than most disaster movies, at the start at least. And Gerard Butler gets to speak in his real Scottish accent for a change !
