Brexit has been badly undermined by the personal agendas of a lot of politicians across the entire spectrum. Whether you voted to leave or not and whether you think it’s a good idea are largely irrelevant. The masses spoke two years ago , but Corbyn, Johnson et al want the top job and parliament has contrived to ignore the referendum. As long as people believe they are being ignored and marginalised they will be driven to the margins. That’s why Farage isn’t go to disappear easily.

Slightly surprised that he got to the chequered flag before Schumacher. RIP

Not a surprise, but he seemed a bit tortured over recent years. RIP

This won’t make any ripples in the media, but this guy was a bit of a legend in Midlands non-league football and I saw him play countless times for my team. A tragedy for the bloke and the family as he is a modest, intelligent chap and hasn’t got long left.

RIP. The Beat produced some fine music and were one of my favourite bands back in the day.

Congratulation to The Mad Hatter. A worthy winner. I look forward to following your progress in the cup with interest.

my brother in law's father-in-law died last night. 97, WWII vet etc and he lived a full life.
However, my brother in law got a call to rush to the house yesterday morning as he had died then (apparently anyway). The deceased man's son is a GP I should point out.
After passing on my condolences I popped out on a short car journey with my 17 year old daughter. Half an hour later, my 15 year old son calls up and daughter answers as I'm still driving. In his best 'Kevin and Perry' voice he blurts out 'Dad, Norman's not dead' ( even before we could say hello).
Both my daughter and I burst out in spontaneous fits of laughter and I had to stop the car as the risk of crashing had increased due to the tears streaming down my face.
i hope he would have laughed too.
I guess you had to be there.

I’ve just finished watching The Informer on BBC I-player. An unusual storyline and unique in many ways, but I found it compulsive viewing.
