if Burbidge is really dead, that's the fourth centenarian in very few days who a) died and b) is on exactly zero lists. Or is it just me failing to find her name in here? Hmmm....

German explorer and human rights activist Rüdiger Nehberg (aka "Sir Vival" )has died on Wednesday. here's a German obit. He is dead already on the English wikipedia, but once again, I haven't found much international news yet.

I saw them call someone racist for disagreeing wether or not another black person deserved a thread, I was naive to think it was meant seriously...

I thought we don't open new threads for people after their death. Well, I was wrong, apparently. But even though I'm relatively new here, I think I can say for certain skin color doesn't matter. What matters, or what should matter at any rate, is how many replies to the thread can be expected/how active it will be, right?
