There are plenty of other power hungry people in Russia, taking out Putin only creates a power vacuum within a nuclear power...
The man is also getting up in age, I don't see him keeping an iron grip longer than another decade (likely less). Part of his power comes from his appearance and behavior. It is more likely he hand-picks a successor, while still making decisions behind closed doors.
At first I thought this invasion is some sort of strategic move for resources, but the more I look into it, it seems like Putin's personal mission based on rather unsound ideology. He has lately been even more isolated than normally due to covid precautions. If he has actually gone a bit mad, there should come a time when the oligarchs who gave him the power, will take it away - and this might be violent. So in conclusion, if he is taken out, it will be by one of those power hungry people. IMO history has shown that they are not particularly worried about power vacuums.
Anyway, it's still a long time until deathlist 2023 and things will develop a lot. I feel that if this invasion ends up being a failure he might not even see 2023.

Perhaps it would be more fitting in the prog thread, but the "bloke from Foreigner" was a founding member of King Crimson. He also wrote my favourite song from the debut album:

I'm just glad they dropped Yoko Ono. Out of principle, I would never pick a Japanese woman on any kind of deathlist.

I suppose this fits this thread: "Super agent" Mino Raiola had emergency surgery in Milan: https://www.sportface.it/calcio/mino-raiola-operato-durgenza-al-san-raffaele-condizioni-delicate/1617260
Edit: He has denied it being an emergency on twitter:

Was he the last minute replacement for Betty White or was it someone else? I'm guessing they moved everyone up one spot and quickly picked Shane for the 50th place, but what do I know.

Whenever I see this thread up, I'm worried for dear old Kane Tanaka. Looks like it will be soon...

Matt Marafioti, also known as ADZ124 is dead after a suicide. Younger folks probably won't remember him, but I certainly do. One of the top online players at one point, also a very troubled guy.

McAfee seems like the kind of guy who desperately wants to be murdered as part of some goverment conspiracy. Unfortunately for him, nobody cared enough so he had to do it himself.

After lurking for a good while, I thought I'd say hi too. After keeping an eye on the main deathlist for a couple of years, I discovered the forums. I didn't have high expectations, but as it turns out, there are very few forums with a "signal-to-noise" ratio as good as this. Every day I'm getting educated on gay porn stars and african despots alike while getting my morbid deathlist kicks. At the moment I feel very unprepared to contribute anything of substance, but maybe one day...

Doyle Brunson is playing in the new high stakes poker season.
(He is in the middle)
Clearly he is still mentally all there, he's keeping up with the table banter very well. Still playing pretty solid poker too. If I had a personal list of immortals, he would probably be near the top after all his cancers and other health problems.
