Permanently banning someone for a sending a few PMs containing a bit of verbally typed abuse appears to be a bit completely over the fucking top? Surely not just me who views it that way?

Back when you could still drink bear at a snooker table during the 'professional' games - there was a myriad of players who would use beta blockers to give them a steady hand. Poor Neal Foulds ended up being the can-carrier for the end of that, but he certainly wasn't the only one to do it.

We're obsessed with him because like many other thoroughly decent posters he was permanently banned for a one off comment that meant nothing, while others who consistently post hurtful and abusive comments are allowed to roam the forum. We're obsessed with the Zorders case because between that and Sir Creep and The Mad Hatter still not being banned, (he posted porn, similarly to another recently permabanned member) we can point to 2016 as about the time moderation on this forum fell of a giant fucking cliff.

1) There's absolutely no evidence that having had Covid provides long-lasting immunity to the disease, even with a positive antibody test. You're still putting yourself at risk. You could also still be carrying Covid and passing it on to other people without getting re-infection symptoms. 2) I don't take a fucking penny off the state. Not a single penny. No benefits, not even furlough. Unlike many on this forum (assumedly you if you've been on furlough) I've been able to adapt and deal with this pandemic off my own back rather than creaming off the fucking government and still claiming to be helping to pay the tax bill because you get a payslip for being unemployed rather than a giro. I'm able to keep the economy running from home, in a rather more constructive manner than a few pints and steak at Wetherspoons is going to manage, cheers.
