  1. Having just joined this lovely forum, I fail to see why I would be leaving on a vacation so soon; however, it is good to see there is a contingency plan in place for those absent times. Yet another marvelous feature of this forum.

  2. I need to say I find it somewhat insensitive to play upon the tragedies being visited upon a once great world leader, especially during his trial. Would it not behoove us all to wait until after a verdict has been rendered before we send him to the gallows? Just a thought, just a thought.

  3. Goodness, I was so excited by this I accidentally posted without saying anything - wlecome back Brinsworth old chum, glad to hear you've been doing more important things. Congratulations on the the little BHB. Yes some threads have grown a bit dull lately but the good guys and girls still outnumber the boring old farts like me. Am not too good since giving up gravy for Lent.

Dull? Heavens to Betsy, I cannot conceive of this place as being dull.

Have you returned to the consumption of gravy now that the Lenten season has passed?

  4. Just the other evening in nearly rapid succession, I viewed part of Stir Crazy on one television channel and then saw Willy Wonka on another. That Augustus Gloop fellow certainly is a hoot! As to Mr. Wilder, I have long enjoyed his work although not near as much as certain other entertainers.

looked a bit orange to me when I saw him in London signing books earlier this year!

Oh gracious me, that does not sound at all good for him. Perhaps he was eating too many carrots.

  5. the body of Jimmy Hoffa may be on the brink of being found 30 years after he dissappeared

CNN claims that an ailing prisoner was the tipster.

Too bad he's not famous enough for the DL... he sounds sort of rough...

C.P., the link is not working for me and curiosity is digging its dirty nails deeply into my flesh as I wonder who the person you have mentioned might be. Please share this so others will not suffer as I currently am.

    Thank you ever so much.

  7. Sad to say that if you Google the name Richard O'Sullivan now, this link is not at the top of the search.

Is there anything we can do to fix this?

If I understand the workings of Google, from what I can recall, it would require several visits to that website at which time it would begin moving up the ladder of Google hits. It may also involve the actuation of approaching said website via the Google website itself. If this matter is approached correctly, then your link should successfully move back to the top of the listings.

  8. This topic title struck me as somewhat absurd when first I viewed it. I had to place before myself the inquiry of why one would need an entire topic to post within if they were suffering from discontent at this website. Would not one just abandon their visits here? Then, upon browsing through I realized the true nature and purpose of this topic and now there is clarity within my mind as to why it is here. Well done Administrators, well done!

  9. Not to shatter anybodys hopes but Mr.Haughleys artical sounded just as convincing. :D

Mr. Scream, would you be so kind as to redirect me towards this article? I would thoroughly enjoy reading it.

  10. Anyway, I still think that Dubya is the most hated. I MOST hate him and I'm sure other people most hate him too.

I must admit I am at times quite disappointed with President Bush; but not to the point of rank hatred. Why are you so upset with this man who the people have twice elected? He once owned a fabulous baseball team, which alone holds him up as an icon for the American people and one to be greatly revered and respected.

  11. What superb timing, seeing as how May 22 is the renewal of my rotten deadpool. There's a chance he could turn into a Sharon and linger for a while though, isn't there?

Still hoping for a third hit before the 22nd though...

I would like to support you in this endeavor; however, I really cannot since I feel Mr.Ecevit still has many more laps to run before he declines to the point of lifely termination. If I am wrong, then I will convey congratulatory wishes towards you C.P.

  12. Wouldn't it be lovely if he dropped sudddenly during the final hours of December? Has anyone on any past lists done so, or would that become a first?

Artie Shaw, in 2004, did so, dramatically, in literally, the final hours of the year.

Thank you Octopus, this is joyous information. Again, I thank you.

  13. Until reading through this topic, I had no real knowledge of the late Mr. Rawls; although, I seem to recall him assisting as an Emcee on a number of charity telethons. So tragic that he will no longer grace us with his deep rich voice.
