New Mexico politician J. Paul Taylor dead at 102. A unique centenarian deadpool pick and whatnot.

Trugoy the Dove, one third of De La Soul, reportedly dead at 54.

I looked at Francine Gottfried briefly. I imagine that unless her exact DOB can be narrowed down, it's probably fruitless to search for her given that she probably lives under another name now. This says she was just shy of turning 21 in September 1968, so I wouldn't think she's the 1945 one.

Danish swimmer Greta Andersen dead at 95. DDP miss, was selected in 2021 and 2022 but not this year.

Could be: Full Name Eleanora R Ferro Birth Date 12 May 1927 Death Date 6 Jun 2010 Death Location Sewell, NJ, 08080 This 1999 obit gives her name as Eleanora, as does the 2000 one up there. I can believe it was her real name given that she was recorded as "Lenora" in the 1930 census. Adding on to what LWCZ said there's an Eleanora R Calsaretti in the PA marriage index. The general area seems right, too (last address was in Philadelphia).

^ He's actually used a wheelchair for the past several years. Here he is three years back: I think he looks pretty good there. Frail, yeah, but I doubt most 101-year-olds are well enough to attend a movie premiere and stand on a red carpet. Could have a few more years.

Charles Kimbrough of Murphy Brown fame dead at 86. He's a DDP unique for myself. Huzzah.

Costa-Gavras is definitely famous enough, he made Z! Whether he gets picked, given the general lack of interest they seem to have in filmmakers, is another story.

I actually surveyed European users recently on Barker on another site I run, mostly because he's in the deadpool there too. Almost all of them knew who he was (game show guy, fought Adam Sandler, played himself on Futurama/Family Guy/HIMYM/SpongeBob and such). Did the same with Lear and got mostly blank stares. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Poet Linda Pastan dead at 90. DDP miss, was on a poet theme team last year.

Brazilian writer Cleonice Berardinelli dead at 106. I figure we'll be pretty thin on 1916-born notables soon. Doesn't seem like one had died since Arczynski in August, and now Sienra and Berardinelli go back to back
