New article about former US Senator Jim Inhofe that briefly touches on his much-speculated health: At 88, Inhofe says he intends to remain involved in politics but admits to still suffering the long-term effects of COVID-19. It is the reason, he said, he left the Senate. “Five or six others have (long COVID), but I’m the only one who admits it.”

Ron Altbach, known as a co-founder of the band King Harvest and for his work writing and producing with the Beach Boys, reportedly died on Monday:
-
Appeared on Chris Sarandon's podcast. Seems well. (Incidentally, Sarandon also looks terrific for his age.)
-
On the subject of O'Connor, was there ever any real push for John Paul Stevens to make the list? Seems odd he never made it given his high profile and extreme age. EDIT: I see he was only on two DDP teams when he died. Guess he wasn't that popular.

Tom Whitlock dead at 68. Probably most famous for writing "Take My Breath Away" and "Danger Zone" from Top Gun; the former won him an Oscar.

Richard Belzer finally gets a THR obit. Intriguing confirmation here.
-
Not unusual. It's only been a little over two hours since Laraine Newman's tweet. Howard Hesseman was also announced dead by her and didn't get any confirmed obits until a couple hours later. And, for other recent examples, Henry Silva was reported dead on twitter for three hours before he got a trade obit. Same with Mickey Kuhn, who was dead online for almost a day before he got anything. EDIT: Forbes is going with it now.

Oh, well that reminds me. I had Ted Lerner!
-
Hey I would have if she ever got a confirmed death date outside of an IP edit on Wikipedia

Rebecca Blank, acting US Secretary of Commerce from 2011 to 2013, dead at 67.

I see there have only been three DLs that didn't have a POTUS or FLOTUS (1989, 1992, and 2012). Would any of the others make it in the next little while if both Carters go this year, you think?

Jim Broyhill, North Carolina Senator for a few months, dead at 95.
-
This was him last month - can't judge much from two photos, but if he can still stand, he's definitely doing better than someone like Nigel Starmer-Smith, a fellow frontotemporal dementia sufferer who's been bedbound unable to talk for 3+ years. I'd say the miss talk should wait until he's not picked on the next list...

1930s child/teen actor Paul Nichols (imdb) is still around. On his 100th last year:
-
Ted Lerner, the ancient billionaire owner of the Washington Nationals, dead at 97.

I wonder if this familysearch contributor would know? There's an email attached, might be worth checking out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

New Mexico politician J. Paul Taylor dead at 102. A unique centenarian deadpool pick and whatnot.
-
Trugoy the Dove, one third of De La Soul, reportedly dead at 54.

I looked at Francine Gottfried briefly. I imagine that unless her exact DOB can be narrowed down, it's probably fruitless to search for her given that she probably lives under another name now. This says she was just shy of turning 21 in September 1968, so I wouldn't think she's the 1945 one.

Danish swimmer Greta Andersen dead at 95. DDP miss, was selected in 2021 and 2022 but not this year.

Could be: Full Name Eleanora R Ferro Birth Date 12 May 1927 Death Date 6 Jun 2010 Death Location Sewell, NJ, 08080 This 1999 obit gives her name as Eleanora, as does the 2000 one up there. I can believe it was her real name given that she was recorded as "Lenora" in the 1930 census. Adding on to what LWCZ said there's an Eleanora R Calsaretti in the PA marriage index. The general area seems right, too (last address was in Philadelphia).
