I could ask you the same question. What have I said that's "insufferable"?
-
Your facepalm made me want to clarify. He may have moments of cognitive lucidity, but the fact that he's voting this early, despite the election being over two weeks away, would indicate that his hospice team can't guarantee he'll be this way by the time of the election, at the end of this month. No, but it reminded me of the time Bush Sr was wheeled in to vote, something which would appear is no longer possible for Carter, who remains bedridden, confined to his home.
-
That's uncalled for, you're better than that. As for the facepalm, it's more the description of "well" that I'm objecting to. He didn't go to vote. It's just an absentee ballot mailed in by his hospice team. @DDI@oldhollywood there's also the fact that George Bush Sr was "well enough" to vote the month he died: Carter can't even be wheeled out anymore, he's bedbound. Far from being "well enough", this is just further indication of his decline.

Likewise for you, dear.

I'm ditching the mango.

I would like to change my name from mymango to mypeanut.

I've come to hate myself at this point.

Why are you hoping his suffering continues?
-
It says "he has kept up with the campaign", which I'm not quite sure what to make of. @Ulitzer95 anything you make of it? I'm guessing they're just reading the news to him.

Trump is running against Biden. But he keeps bringing up Jimmy Carter | AP News (No, Donald is not my alter ego.)

You missed the next paragraph: The writer knew exactly what they were doing there, lmao

I thought he was undergoing radiotherapy? It's Kate undergoing chemo. Anyway, his doctors are very encouraged, and the fact he's returning to public duties means they're not too worried about his immune system. They're also positive about his prospects for recovery. Surely it makes more sense to trust his actual medical team than the rumour mill? There's no suggestion of it being a terminal diagnosis.
-
They did say she had chronic mobility problems, though. Not once did they say she was making progress. Funny though how it's journalists saying he's getting worse while his actual doctors are saying the opposite. Who to believe...
-
When did they do this with the Queen? They never said she made encouraging progress. Also, it's weird how similar rumours aren't surfacing about Kate. She looks far worse than him.
-
It's more the way people are acting as if he doesn't have a chance, as if they've got a crystal ball. He's definitely got a chance, he's not given up nor have his doctors. People can live for years with the disease.

I don't accept this narrative at all. It's absolutely ridiculous to assume that when he's literally planning to tour Australia later this year.
-
You could say I've learnt from experience.

What was moronic or irritating in what I've said? I don't dispute their contributions, just in this instance I think they should be scrutinised. I've also tried to quote insightful commentary if you had a look through my post history. I'm not facepalming anyone now, and I've enjoyed this website just as genuinely as anyone. We can agree to disagree. Understood. I'll try to only respond to replies directed at me today. Of course he's in a dire situation, cancer is always dire. That doesn't mean he's done for.
-
Yes, and it could very well be from the same source. Even so, other intel suggests he's "progressing well" in his treatment.
-
And it could just as well be the reverse, in that once Charles returns to work they might start preparing us for her demise. Is this meant to be surprising? He's literally got cancer, of course he's very unwell. People can live with cancer for years, as most of us here should know by now. There are other rumours that's he's doing as well as can be expected. Again, people can live with cancer for years. If my tone was twattish, I apologise, but your intel isn't infallible. As much as it might be difficult for him now, it doesn't mean he's done for. He wants to fight it and his doctors are throwing everything possible at it.
-
He would do well to clarify that he meant to say Charles has fucked, therefore, the King is going to fuck cancer.
-
It's been weeks since I've had a back and forth with someone on that thread, is what I meant.

TQR said it about me first, so I think both questions are better directed to them.
