Since the death of Perry J Dahl on December 2nd of 2024, the last living American ace of WW2 seems to be James McCubbin (1921-), who flew the North American P-51D Mustang with the 385th Fighter Squadron of the 364th Fighter Group of the United States Army Air Forces {USAAF} during the European Theater of Operations].
