  1. Seems like it was a good idea to drop Daniel arap Moi from my final list. Didn't reach to the Drop 40 and due to that isn't worth much points. Currently sitting on a 2nd place with lots of big names. Eddie van Halen, Leon Spinks, Noel Conway and Yoo Sang-Chul could be very important hits for me.

Thank you guys for the input! I decided to put him on the bench, because even though there is no QO fear anymore I think that he might hang on a little. Usually MND doesn't kill with 1-2 years.

If the Scottish papers are back as QO sources (I've lost track...) then yes.

As I am not familiar with the British media, what would the rules say in plain language. Would David Hagen get obit?

OBITUARY QUALIFICATION:To win points, there must be the mention of a celebrity's death on a national online news source:
    BBC*:
bbc.co.uk/news (and all subsections, including the previously banned local news pages)
    bbc.co.uk/sport
    bbc.co.uk/newsbeat
And from the UK versions of the following:

(As of 1/1/2018, the death announcements section of broadsheet websites, which members of the general public can pay for listings, are excluded)

    ...and from these news sites:

    uk.reuters.com
    news.sky.com/uk
    skysports.com
itv.com/news* (this includes local news pages)
    channel4.com/news
The notice of death must be in written English. Video links are only accepted if the strapline mentions the celeb’s passing.

The following news sources are excluded as from 1st January 2016: Huffington Post UK, MSN UK, Yahoo UK, Scotsman, Daily Record, STV and UTV.

Independent has now been removed as of 1st January 2017 as it no longer has a regular print edition. i is a valid obit source as of 1/1/2018.

    Tom Smith......

or possibly Lee Kerslake or Genesis P-Orridge

All the other 'cult picks' of the year are too old for DDP use.

Would David Hagen get obit? He also seems like a dead cert to me.

I note that Elizabeth II is currently 27th oldest living state leader (Wiki list includes heads of state and government and both current and former).

Anybody think she WON’T make it to the #1 spot?

I think she won't or shouldn't make it to top 50.

Nope, all those had serious ailments.

Just when they had been hospitalized by something that would kill most people, they would recover and be out and about within a few weeks.

    That is exactly my point.

Dunno didn't suffer from numerous ailments winding up in hospital every other month.

In that therms. Al Meghrali, Clive James, Valerie Harper, Mugabe, John Paul II would also be contenders.

George Alagiah as seen reading the news the other day.

Bill Turnbull was recently photographed by Mark Johnson for the front cover of this week's Radio Times.

I'd still say that Turnbull goes first and with 60% chance this year. Alagiah will see 2020.

    What makes you say that?

I think George alagiah will go first.

    Based on visual.

Could anyone upload a latest pic of Alagiah and Turnbull?
