I have already 4/20. (Pat Harrington Jr, Rene Angelil, Eric Lubbock, Martin Crowe)

I believe that Feek, Marks will be also hits.

Others ... I don't know. History shows that I get 3/20 or 7/20 hits per year. I have already over 3... so I will have 7 hits probably.

So last time I did this - Feek died on the same day.

So today it seems, that ...

90% chance to die in 2016 - Ford

75% chance to die in 2016 - Marks, Granger, Kohl

50% chance to die in 2016 - Adamowicz, Travis, James, Carter, Gabor

25% chance to die in 2016 - Farnham, Westhuizen, Ali

5% chance to die in 2016 - Cruyff, Romero, Fawkes

My math says that I will get more hits this year.

Four days later. Ford is dead. Soon I shall do another update. Gonna be harder this time.

Now I did some heavy research. This is how it's going to be according to the information available.

    1. Kate Granger 85% (according to her blog 16.03.16 - losing her battle to cancer)

    2. Keith Farnham 75% (pulmonary fibrosis, bladder cancer and hepatitis C - should be dead already)

    3. Howard Marks 70% (inoperable bowel cancer which has spread to his liver and lungs since 2014/15 winter)

    4. Tony Adamowicz 65% (stage 4 brain cancer - should be dead in less than two years)

    5. Muhammad Ali 60% (32 years with Parkinson's disease - getting worse every year)

    6. Clive James 55% (leukemia - embarraced to be alive since he should be dead already)

    7. Kris Travis 50% (had stomach cancer, got into remission, cancer returned, life or death TBA)

    8. Helen Fawkes 45% (won three times against ovarian cancer, according to her blog 22.03.16 - the cancer has returned)

    9. Randy Romero 40% (hepatitis C, liver and kidneys are failing - according to doctors he might not see next year if he doesn't some new organ transplant)

    10. Joost van der Westhuizen 35% (has MND - in 2011 was giver 2-5 years to live, only 10% with the illness can live up to 10 years)

    11. Zsa Zsa Gabor 30% (according to statistics - people who are aged 99 have 70% chance to see their next birthday, otherways she has NO health issues at all)

    12. Helmut Kohl 25% (health has been failing during the last 10 years, but now seems stable)

    13. Jimmy Carter 20% (had cancer that had spread to brain and liver but declares himself cancer free, however he is old)

    14. Johan Cruyff 15% (fighting with lung cancer and has a feeling that he is 2-0 up in the first half of a match that has not finished yet)

According to my math I should get six more hits which should give me a score of 46 points. If I add that to my current 58 points in DDP, I get 104 points. That should hive me a chance of 33% to win this years DDP. What do you guys think?

Alright, so ... 12 people left.

    Well...

    1. Granger 90%

    2. Adamowicz 75%

    3. Marks 70%

    4. Farnham 65%

    5. Ali 60%

    6. Fawkes 55%

    7. James 50%

    8. Gabor 45%

    9. Carter 40%

    10. Kohl 35%

    11. Romero 30%

    12. van der Westhuizen 25%

Seems like that if you have cancer in 2016, you just have to go...

I am very positive that Granger won't see 2017 but she might not be the next one to go.

Another hit. This time not too suprising. Granger up next.

    Another update:

    1. Kate Granger 95% (as of today her health is failing and death seems inevitable)

    2. Tony Adamowicz 75% (as of 6th of June he was still fighting with brain cancer, unable to accept visitors)

    3. Randy Romero 60% (as of February 2016 nobody know how much longer his organs will function. It is sure that if he doesn't get new liver soon, he will die. Probably this or next year)

    4. Clive James 55% (as of 14th of June his medicine still works, but it could fail him tomorrow. He has been lucky for a long time now, end should be near)

    5. Zsa Zsa Gabor 50% (zzzZZZzzz...)

    6. Helen Fawkes 45% (as of 18th of June she received her chemo no 73, seems that she is doing well, but you will never know when her chemo might start to fail)

    7. Helmut Kohl 35% (as of 4th of April he is recovering slowly, however his health might get worse any day)

    8. Joost van der Westhuizen 25% (dying slowly but should make it to 2017)

    9. Keith Farnham 20% (no reliable information from 2016, seems to be dying some time between 2016 and 2023)

    10. Jimmy Carter 15% (seems well enough to survive the year)

Got 10 hits with the first six months. Will I get another 10 hits with the last six months?

    8 potential hits left.

No qo for Bobbie Heine Miller. Journalists are effing lazy nowadays.

They're saving their orbits for people like Paul McCartney and William Shatner, of course she won't get an orbit

    It's obit, not orbit.

Unless she opted for a space burial, like Scotty.

Or her breath smells very bad.

  3. With the current ratio of deaths, I was thinking about how I had to sub out Howard Davies Jr and Darren Tandy in the last week of 2015 due to them being a bit too eager to go. Can't have been the only person in that boat, I wonder how their subs did. Mine were Phil Gartside and Kate Granger, and Monty Brinson would have been the third had anyone else snuffed it before the bells.

    For me it was:

Howard Davies Jr - Helen Fawkes

Pavel Srnicek - Zsa Zsa Gabor

  4. 9 potential hits for me left. Still in the game, but also going to need almost everybody from my list to die.

As of today I got 100 points

    + Adamowicz ... 107 (as of 31.08)

    + Kohl ... 113 (as of 18.09)

    + James ... 120 (as of (02.10)

    + Gabor ... 125 (as of 01.11)

    + Carter ... 130 (as of 24.12)

    + van der Westhuizen ... 140 (as of 25.12)

    + Romero ... 149 (as of 31.12)

That might secure my win... and keeping Farnham and Fawkes in my pocket.

And we have the biggest f*cking surprise in the history of DDP!

I don't know why I decided to exclude Howe and Aherne. Now they are dead.

  6. Konichiwa, DeathList forum members. It is now 1 July 2016 in Japan. Having been born in the Japanese capital Tokyo on 1 July 1916 to British parents, it is now official that Olivia de Havilland has become a centenarian. :birthday2::party: When she was selected by the DL committee for the first time in late 2004, I bet very few people expected the then 88-year old actress to hang in there for over a decade. She has outlived countless other DL entries over the years, and the fact that she is picked over and over again is just a testament to the fact that she's too big a star to not have her name being displayed in this honourable(?) website.

Indeed, her career has been impressive. Already a Hollywood A-lister in the mid-1930s, her arguably best and most challenging performances came in the 1940s, where she ultimately won two Academy Awards. Thank God she was able to break free from her Warner Brothers contract by taking them to court. She semi-retired from acting in the 1950s, when she moved to France with her then-husband Pierre Galante. She still lives in Paris today, so those who don't consider her 100 years old yet will have to wait almost six or seven hours more.

Keep in mind that her journey doesn't end here. Age is just a number, and she could just as well live for another few years, who knows?

Lastly, some fun trivia for those who like interesting coincidences:

When the play A Midsummer Night's Dream was produced in 1934, the following cast was initially chosen for the role of Hermia:

    Hermia: Gloria Stuart

    Hermia (1st understudy): Jean Rouverol

Hermia (2nd understudy): Olivia de Havilland

Olivia ended up getting the role eventually, and also in the film version a year later.

Guess who is turning 100 in a mere seven days? I call it the 'Hermian centenarian phenomenon'. ;)

    Sincerely,

    Predictor

Gloria Stuard died aged 100. I guess it would be crazy if Jean Rouverol and Olivia de Havilland would also die aged 100.
