A recent(ish) article about Bill McLaren:

 

"McLaren's many admirers from all corners of the world will be sad to hear that he has not been doing so well of late. The ravages of old age have taken their toll. Word of his deteriorating health has increased concern within Scottish rugby circles."

I'd be sad to see him go, I immediately associate him with getting up in the middle of the night to watch the All Blacks trounce Scotland at Murrayfield. Great voice, great commentator and (I'm told) a very nice man indeed.

 

Sad news. Unlike a lot of other commentators, McLaren was alwyas even handed with all nations. As an Englishman, I never felt he was biased against us when we played the Jocks. Can't say the same about many of the current crop.

According to the BBC the Jamaican police commissioner "also "unequivocally dismissed" Indian television reports that arrests had been made."

 

This kind of thing is just not cricket.

 

Hope this sets a precedent & someone will strangle Steve McClaren this weekend.

 

It has been suggested in certain quarters that Pakistan threw their game against the Irish and that Woolmer was going to blow the whistle.

 

If this is what happens to managers of teams who underperform then Steve McClaren must be shaking like a shitting dog by now.

I feel that he got what he deserved; Last place.

The only entry that should have done worse was the winning one. I much prefered the one which came first until they changed their minds. Poor girl.

Anyway, with any luck Harvey will do the right thing and end it all...

 

I'm sure the whole thing was rigged, I'd like to nominate Scooch (sic?) for the 2008 DL but I've a feeling they're going to die on their arses in Helsinki.

 

 

I feel so proud that this bunch of mungo-headed fuckwits will be representing this country in Finland come May. I sincerely hope that every sunstroke mongoloid who voted for them will do the only honourable thing and end their worthless, pitiful existences as there is clearly no hope for them at all.
