Doesn't matter. Nasty crawling, flying, biting, entirely indestrucible bastards!! They've taken up residence and made an entire city in my lawn. I've put that much ant powder down that the grass looks like its been sh*t on by the Devon seagulls. I'm thinking of buying a flame thrower and just torching the whole lot! My Dad always used boiling water on the ants in our garden but I don't think that will do the lawn any favours!

Having stepped in both, while neither is pleasant, I'd always go for the horse sh*t. In a league of sh*t, top being the most unpleasant, horse would probably come in the relegation zone, just above rabbit. Cow would probably qualify for the UEFA cup, just beating off goat. Dog, cat and seagull would battle it out for champion league places, but the winner, champion of them all would have to be human. A fantasy sh*t league, there's a thing. (The seagull sh*t is more of a hair problem than a shoe one, so should perhaps be in a league of it's own, but very unpleasant all the same). On the subject of seagull sh*t, I would say the degree of unpleasantness depends on your location. On the Lincs coast near me seagulls are average sized birds whereas whilst visiting Plymouth, I saw what were almost dog sized gulls which I imagine must produce dog sh*t size droppings! Better to be sh*t on in Lincolnshire than Devon I'd say.

I'm with you on this one sez44, I always picked up after mine. Up here you can be fined for not doing so, although since that law came into practice 4 years ago I've only heard of one person being fined. I was talking to a policeman a couple of months ago about it and he told me he refuses to walk his dogs now as picking up after them is 'disgusting', gets his wife to do it instead, so I suppose with that attitude it's understandable there aren't many people being fined . You can get biodegradable dog sh*t bags W, check with your local council, some hand them out free. Didn't know you could get biodegradable bags Lady Grendel, I'll be sure to buy them next time.
