    That's more or less the long or short of it. Looking at the maps of those who speak Russian more than 50% of population follow very closely to those who voted (or had there vote misappropriated to show support) for Victor Yanukovych, marry quite well. To my thinking there is mileage in a two state solution.

     

    Now I doubt the eastern chunk could be any more democratic than Russia. But just the chance to remove the problem from Kiev would be the major bonus that the western looking democrats could find the benefits of closer links with The EU.

     

    On the sporting side if this could be enacted in May then the final European football qualifying group with only 5 teams could be boosted to 6 and all would then be playing 10 games.

     

    Ukraine is a bankrupt shithole, the Russians can have it. Same with the rest of Eastern Europe. Let's go back to the good old days of the USSR v USA & Western Europe, things were simpler then.

    Christmas, I loathe it and despise its disciples who worship at the temples of consumerism and preach vacuous sentimentality.

    But the BBC i agree the negative attacks on the NHS were the final straw for me , they know what they are doing.

     

     

    The NHS is at best adequate and at worst downright criminal. It needs a complete culture change.

    The death of bees is a bloody serious subject... And this book is nothing to do with that...

     

    Why cant these silly writers just chose better titles and stop wasting people's time and effort on trying to understand the implications of such a mass extinction and its effect on the environment.

     

    F'ing numpties...

     

    You sound like the type of chap who is a literalist, best you avoid novels then and stick to non-fiction.

    He is actually one of the nicest people could could ever wish to meet.

    Rather worryingly, he could now actually find himself as Scotland's most high profile Sci Fi writer, which given the standard of Bedlam (far from his best work, in fact its not even his best Sci Fi work) would be something of a travesty.
