Oh, brilliant, a bunch of obstreperous guests. I suppose Windsor will be blaming me for them next. You mean, apart from minor details like polio, the Korean war, the imminent threat of nuclear annihilation, and that sort of thing?
-
To borrow a line from my favourite movie, I don't eat junk food.
-
Following? Following? If only. Anyway, whoever those guests are, as long as they're just reading along and aren't trolling the threads, they're really not worth you stressing your brain cell over. What, your Windsor the Troll account at the Royal Forums? Not a chance. I asked the moderators and other admins, and there was a unanimous "no." In several languages, no less. But since you've already said you're going to keep registering new IDs, there's no reason for you to want your old one back anyway.

Well, I get intelligence, literacy, and free-thinking in spades at Internet Infidels. Much as you don't agree, it can also be found at The Royal Forums if you know where to look. I hang out at a lot of different boards when I have the time. Give Windsor the job. It might give him enough to do that he doesn't have time to keep bugging us at the Royal Forums. ...or, on second thoughts, maybe don't give Windsor the job...

It's mostly because of the way creationists abuse the second law of thermodynamics in some of their more idiotic attempts to "prove" that evolution can't possibly be true. I've got so fed up with pointing out that life itself breaks that law if the law really says that entropy always increases under all circumstances (and therefore the law can't actually say that and hence the creationist objection is a straw-man caricature, not that creationists seem to care), that it just seemed appropriate. If lifeforms are temporary islands of reduced entropy, then a whole lot of entropy happens when things die.

Entropy not to be rude or not to insult you in any way but why exsactly did you join the DL? Because of your issues with Windsor? Or because your like most of us who are joyed and entertained by death? Because of the issues with Windsor, initially. We were wondering how to respond to his sweetly innocent Support Desk query about how he couldn't possibly imagine why he'd been banned, so I came over here to tell him (and to thank Tempus Fugit for pretty much providing us with a map to find you). - although every time I get into an abortion argument with one particular fundamentalist on one particular board, I get accused of embracing the culture of death. So who knows...
-
They sure do. Landover Baptist is brilliant!

Well, Windsor asked me to "prove" that I really was a TRF admin by changing his princesslinda ID (which I'd already changed to princesslinda aka windsor the troll) to just windsor the troll, which I did. Apparently that isn't good enough for him since he's still carrying on about it, so I guess the only thing to do now is to let him wallow in his paranoia and hope he doesn't drown in it. Sad, really. Poor chap.

Sounds like a plan. Now, if we get any of the little dears next year...
-
No, it's my bloody computer refusing to remember log-in details. Normally it wouldn't matter, but this board lets guests post, so every time I forget to log in I end up posting anyway.
-
Yep.
-
I wouldn't know. I bow to your superior knowledge, of course.

If the account was created for Deathlist, what's all this stuff about how you were genuinely interested in talking about royalty and were banned unfairly because you were a member in good faith? You're not going to have a great deal of credibility if you insist on sticking to two mutually exclusive stories simultaneously. If you carry on creating accounts that are simply obvious DeathList playgrounds, we'll carry on banning them. There's no fight involved; that's just how it's going to be. If you want to post seriously over there, which is what you've been saying for the last few weeks, just don't advertise your DeathList membership and we won't know (or care) who you are. It's up to you.

We didn't get anyone come to the door here. Now I'm feeling neglected. There was an article somewhere a day or two ago saying that door-to-door trick-or-treating is less popular than it was and more kids are going to parties instead.
-
And as I said in my PM back to you, if you don't advertise over there that you're a reincarnation of a banned poster, and if your posts stay within the rules, there's no reason for us to have a problem. Once you start playing silly buggers over there and/or let it be known that you're a banned poster who's re-registered, your next incarnation will go the same way as your last ones. It just depends how long you can restrain yourself from bragging. Didn't last long for Princesslinda, did it?

It's a pleasure to meet you. [Gap snipped -- MH] Ah, the splendid chap himself! You'd probably have been believed a bit faster if you'd posted your thread about the Earl of Snowdon rather than Prince Philip, but you did manage to upset a couple of people quite badly so I presume you consider it a job well done. Windsor, you really can be quite stunningly obtuse. Who says we didn't take your views about monarchy seriously at TRF? Please don't tell me you're still deluded enough to think you were banned from there because of your views on the monarchy.
-
And I'm just saying that all I've been doing is responding to posts, so that accusations of hijacking the thread need to be spread a bit more widely if they're going to be made at all, as long as fairness is an issue. We don't ban people for going off topic and having good fights either. There's a lot of difference between good fights and ugly ones; as a regular contributor to discussions about creationism, abortion, euthanasia, and church-state separation, I've had a fair bit of experience in telling the difference. Considering how much splendider you are, you seem a lot more interested in our board than our members are in yours. After the invasion by one of your splendid chaps, trying to wind up our British forum members with a thread about Prince Philip being imminently about to die, I posted the URL of this board, a few people came over to have a look, there were a couple of comments along the lines of "what sick weirdos," and that was that. As far as I know, none of them bothered to register here. Surprised you bothered to register, then. I've come across any number of deadly boring boards and just ignored them. It makes life a lot simpler.

Ah, well - you'll be wanting to direct that observation at a few others as well as me, then.

Was the Queen Of Tarts even a Royal when she snuffed it? The Queen said Diana was still a member of the royal family, but she lost her HRH when she divorced. Not sure how that works, but that's how it was.

It probably isn't your computing abilities that's the issue; the search engine over there is just rather bloody minded. I've searched the forum in the past on keywords that I know exist, and it's told me there are no matches. Anyway, these links might be relevant. http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4407 http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5254 http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6743 http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6423 http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7152 I think the creationists eventually backed down in Georgia, but Kansas seems to be pretty much a lost cause for science as opposed to religion. There's a court case going on at the moment in Dover, Pennsylvania, and some of the transcripts are almost unbelievable. Monty Python couldn't have done it better than some of these people.

So what did I say that contradicts that? You're being mighty picky these days, you know.
-
Um, isn't the autumnal equinox in September? More than a month away from Hallowe'en. Well, the pagans had so many celebrations... Doesn't Halloween come from Samhain, the Pagan new year celebration?
-
No, I don't attend royal-related events (anyway, if I took that advice and called a royal "Mr" like Professor Hawking was being called "Mr," I doubt they'd appreciate it much, and royals are a bit sensitive about titles). There were no deaths among the British royals (descended from George V, at any rate - I have no idea about the peripheral ones) in the 1980s and Diana was the only fatality in the 1990s, so, depending on how you look at it, either you can go a very long time between royal deaths or they're overdue for a whole lot of them.
-
No idea, sorry. Well get investigatin'! Erm - how, exactly? I have this vague suspicion that if I were to e-mail the Royal Insight Q&A page to ask if they'd mind letting me know the state of health and seriousness of death threats for each of the royals, they wouldn't answer. Or at least, they wouldn't answer usefully.

Nor do I. It would appear that the Prince of Wales is a supporter of intelligent-design creationism, though.
