  1. Some veteran broadcasters for yor consideration:

    David Jacobs  (b 1926)

    Alan Freeman  (b 1927)

    Pete Murray  (b 1928)

Brian Matthew  (no DoB, but at least 80)

    Humphrey Lyttleton  (ditto)

    Jimmy Young  (ditto)

Johnny Walker  (only 60, but recent cancer treatment)

thread. Most of the others are still working.

I've seen Pete Murray a few times recently.

He's very white-haired now, and walks with a stoop.

    But he's very much alive.

Still got a radio show on LBC I think.

  2. Then from the TV side of things there are Raymond Baxter, Kenneth Kendall and Richard Baker.

    Raymond Baxter..........is he still alive?

My gran met him in a lift at Broadcasting House 50 years ago.

They flirted. My mum who was with them at the time was embarrassed.

My gran was going to be a contestant in a radio program called "Does the team think?"

Ted Ray, Jimmy Edwards, Nancy Spain and Gilbert Harding I believe
