What does the Premiership & a cordless drill have in common?Neither of them have Leeds.
I don't find that funny

Has she ever not been a dizzy and doddery old bird? After all, 'Foxy''s girlfriend's mum and Nana Moon were pretty much the same character.
You do know she was in Robin's Nest and Man About The House too... Just thought I'd throw that in.

It's hard to predict that with Dutch celebs.Talking about Dutch celebs how's Teddy Scholten these days? She must be about 80 now. Not sure they'd get a UK obit, though she might do as she pipped Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson to the post and won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1959 (still one of the UK's most famous entries even after 47 years!)

Must we talk about football after yesterday's depressing result?
-
I've long wondered about that but I would assume that being clamped by a good pair of gums could make your eyes water.A certain X Factor contestant who used to sing with a certain Madchester band apparently gave great blow jobs and always with her teeth out.
But I fear we're straying off the subject somewhat now...

Suharto, because he's not on my DDP list

I can imagine that the daugther of a manufacturer of photo equipment, films and chemicals and such has some strange ideas about cooking. She wasn't that Eastman.

the lead singer of the Australian band the Go-Betweens Grant McLennan has died suddenly in his sleep.Bit of a shockerDefinitely unexpected, a bit like when John McGeoch died (wasn't that in his sleep too?) I wonder what the cause was, or whether it was just natural causes?

Whilst perusing the breaking news on the Irish Independent I spotted this.Sarandon death threats after speaking out against Iraq warHollywood star Susan Sarandon has said that she has had received death threats since speaking out against the war in Iraq.
"Since" speaking out against the Iraq war? I'd have thought both Susan and Tim would have had death threats from radical right-wing nuts for a good 15 years now. I suppose there is the 'against war=against our boys' mindset as a factor but all the same, they've spoken out against so much the US government does that I can't imagine the level of threats being that much increased.
What programme was this interview on btw? Huge fan of Susan Sarandon here She's wonderful.

Anyone want a guess on how long it is before he gets arrested again whilst on bail?
I give him three days.

She might already be dead for all I know (can't find anything to say so however) but how about off-school-ill-kids-hero-and-all-round-cutlery-abuser daytime telly painter Nancy Kominsky?
Born 1915 so she's knocking on a bit to put it mildly.
A bit obscure admittedly but is possibly retro enough to get a mention somewhere.

I was wondering whether this chap may be worth some investigation. Now I realise he is not old, or infirm, but... he is (allegedly) mad as a drunk Badger (pulling handguns on teammates etc..) and this is the best bit, he's Colombian and according to this information he has now turned his hand to Politics.
I can't think too many people would be upset if anything happened to him, the horrible little runt. I'm *so* glad Leeds were 'unlucky' in their bid for him. If the Colombians don't get him first I'm sure a few criminal types in Newcastle would like to (remember all the drug/gun running stories during his time at St James' Park, not to mention stories of items being nicked from fellow players' pockets in the dressing room)...

While I wish deathlist.net much luck, I personally hope not as my DDP partner-in-death will give me a right rollocking for vetoing putting Liz on our list.
Liz is inching closer to death every dayAren't we all though?
To be honest, I'll believe it when I see the coffin. Just how many times can the woman circle the drain?

TLC - interestingly (or perhaps not coincidently) you picked 1984 - the year that Aerosmith got back together after their half-decade hiatus and, in my mind, they produced some quality music for the next two decades or so that I felt was at least on par with their older stuff.Certainly Permanent Vacation and Pump were. Then they started putting too many cheesy MTV-friendly power ballads on their albums for my liking.
Talking of Aerosmith, any news on how Steven Tyler's doing after his recent throat op?
As for old pop stars past their best, I'd argue the case for David Bowie, Joni Mitchell and Elton John. While neither's recent work is for the most part essential, some of it is cracking.

I was always a fan of Floyd until I saw him blatantly flirting with Suzie Sweet whilst making Spaghetti. That's just wrong.

That well-known bastion of accuracy Popbitch is also reporting his demise. However, it's quite possible that whoever posted the 'news' originally read it on here...
Until it's on t'Beeb website I ain't believing it

Could do with being blonder and more tustled (I'm thinking that short wig she wore when going out with Michael Hutchence) but yes, she does look... elfin is the word. Bravo the Brave Kylie!

The wiki entry on his DITH co-star Barry Evans is interestingI used to quite fancy Barry Evans when I was a kid. I remember when he died my university were doing a community radio thing and I had to do the obit as everyone else was a bit young to remember 'Mind Your Language'. Very odd circumstances surrounding his death; I guess what with the coroner giving an open verdict we'll never truly know what happened or why.
If anyone has that Daily Mail article re Evans' bisexuality/crush on Lionel Blair I wouldn't mind a butchers at it as I don't think I saw it at the time.

Slight update gleaned from elsewhere. Our blessed Dickie attended a Brinsworth House fundraiser in London recently. In fine fettle apparently, though has short-term memory problems (then again, don't we all... or maybe that's just me) and was walking with a stick. Looks a bit old for his age but otherwise fine.

Anyone here know what the Jewish law says about being permanentely incapacitated? It's all a bit complicated. There is some debate over whether "permanently incapacited" is brain death or when the heart stops beating. Or both. Or neither.

Can't find a proper obit yet (though I'm sure there will be some in time) but Martin Gilks, drummer from the Wonder Stuff, has died. Road accident apparently. Very sad news

Somewhere between 'not exactly famous' and 'near miss' depending on if you're a Eurovision fan, 70s Europop fan or just watch too much German telly (or all three like me) but Steve Bender of Siegel/Meinunger-created German pop act Dschinghis Khan died earlier this month from cancer aged 63
