  1. Some old politicians who have probably been overlooked -

    R. Sargent Shriver - VP Candidate in '72 - 90, has alzheimers or however you spell it

Earl Butz - 96, secretary of Agriculture in the 70s

Claiborne Pell - 88(?), Popular US Senator from Maryland, has parkinsons.

    E. Gough Whitlam, Australian PM, 89 and said to be in " declining health"

Anthony Mamo - 96, Former Malta President

Alfonso López Michelsen - 92, Former Colombia President

Robet Byrd - 88, US Senator West Virginia, he is still a Senator and up for reelection this year, how long can he last?

    Lesser knowns -

Arthur Link - 91, Governor of North Dakota in the 70s

Cliff Hansen - 93, US Senator Wyoming

Albert Roselini - 95, Governor of Washington

George Smathers - 92, US Senator Florida

Bill Avery - 94, Governor of Kansas

I know, most of these arent famous enough, but it may be something to look into.

  2. Next year, you should have former U.S Secretary of Agriculture Earl Butz, because he will be 96 then! As for fame, he's probably the most well known Secretary of Agriculture, due to his getting fired for an off color comment in 1976.

Also, Wiki says he's the "Oldest prominent politician in the world"
