You really need to start looking at other threads before posting here, or if your going to post hours afterwards, maybe say something like just to put it in another thread or something. I wouldn't bother telling you if it's a one time thing, but it's constant, and it's also bugs me. Is that really you Joey? Or did Sir Creep get your password?

Aaron Rodgers is unreal. The Packers-Cowboys game was a doozy with a flurry of scores and lead changes down to the wire. Rodgers has an uncanny ability to throw pinpoint passes while on the run (like the one with 3 seconds left). If anyone scares a Patriots fan like me, it's Aaron. -
I vote for random seeding. If we do this again next year the seeding could be based on this year's results.

No shit, sherlock. Sorry Bass (or is it Barse) everybody seems a bit testy lately.

Why the word 'necessarily'? He is simply NOT DEAD..... Thus making Bass an asshole for posting his winner for Non News Story of 2017 here of all places. SC it A R S E and I don't fucking care if you are a Yank, its a UK site. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and it will be arse and not ass......

You all sound like Sir Creep clones.

Clare was my last cut/first sub. Drat.

Probably about 7. She is in my theme team, Losing The Plot, which is off to a flying start with two hits already. She's on the Gray Panthers as well.

Start is the operative word.

Discretion is a good trait for a married man who wants to live. I've always found the secret to married life is to apologise in advance... The other day I bought my wife a bouquet of flowers. A stranger asked me "Is your wife mad at you? Did you do something wrong?" I said no, it's just preventative maintenance.

Soon. He's running out of places to hide and he's pissed just about everybody off (even Ayman al Zawahiri, FFS) -
You knew how to spell Sarstedt Barely Is it bass like the fish, bass like the musical instrument or something else? Just curious. Being a teenaged American, it is just the sound. Coincidentally, I managed to get myself into Megaman, and a "villain" in it is named Bass, so... It is also easy to enter when logging in so that helps. So then, with the villain Bass, is it bass like the fish, bass like the musical instrument or something else?

Hey Bobby Mugs, I certainly DO research death candidates which is how I got into this originally. However, you continually refuse to answer my questions about your current state of health. This is decidedly unfriendly. I also notice that you list yourself in your signature death list. I don't think that's cricket. You have an unfair advantage if you decide to off yourself. My health is indeed declining, I've stolen my last farm, but mrs Mugabe is taking over dw. Thanks Bobby. We'd all appreciate updates with specific conditions as time goes on. BTW, How IS Grace?

It's not quite a synonym - old is older than elderly in British English. Elderly is "getting on a bit" but not necessarily conclusively "old". As Shaun says, it has nothing to do with state of health. But see, the US dictionary concurs. I think this is a case of people increasingly using the word wrongly, until the meaning has been changed by the masses. An example of that happening is "infer" which people think means to suggest, imply, insinuate. It actually means to understand, deduce, conclude, but people use it wrongly all the time. I'll also offer "ignorant" which seems to be used far, far more to mean ill-mannered or rude, than its principal meaning of uninformed, someone who doesn't know. My American Heritage Dictionary lists elderly as an adjective meaning: Approaching old age; rather old. SC is correct in one line, it isn't even debatable. One doesn't get to coin one's own definition of words. Certainly you can use it however you want but the definition in the dictionary is definitive to anyone reasonable. Many people have a mistaken impression of what a word means since they've only heard it used. That doesn't mean that "your" definition has changed the way the rest of the English speaking world will use the word. If you're not sure of an exact meaning, look it up. I've certainly done that on many occasions and there's no shame in it. The only shame is using it incorrectly even after being educated as to the correct meaning or engaging in silly arguments about it.

The Giants (great defense) or Packers (Aaron Rogers) are capable of spoiling the Dallas party although I think they'll make it to the Super Bowl. -
Hi, I have to sub in Quincy Jones for Debbie Reynolds. The downside of submitting so early! Aye, but I'd sorted that when the masterlist was posted - obviously I've just posted the teams for reference. Which Quincy Jones? The producer (more famous) or the comedian with mesothelioma?

Unless you think he's going to commit suicide over it, I don't know why that's relevant. I would think that Gary Kubiak resigning over health concerns would be a more fitting post. -
