As we seem to have wandered down the landmine-strewn cul-de-sac named 'Division of Chores Along Gender-Specific Lines Close' why is it that women can't make good coffee? I'm sat at work drinking hot water with a vague suggestion of coffee-like flavour made by a (female) co-worker from proper ground coffee. Hopefully the next batch will be made by my (male) Belgian colleague who knows that coffee should be able to dissolve a carelessly abandoned spoon within 2 minutes.

Surely going to Scunthorpe gives a good approximation of using a time machine?

My other half starred in an episode of the last series... Yes, MPFC, you have found me out! Frank should be held up as a role model for us all. I think the series did take a bit of a dip a while back, but the last one was back on track. Sheila and Marty were probably 2 of my favourite characters, and I was sad to see them go. But it is a tribute to the writers that they can gradually introduce new characters and flesh them out as they go along. I couldn't stand the Maguire family at first, but now the exploits of Shane and Mickey are hilarious!

I'm not a fan of men driving round in circles, but I accidentally caught the last 10 minutes of highlights last night. This must be the first motor racing I've seen since Senna died and I must say it was brilliant. I gather that it's not normally like that though?
