Yeah, Gene Wilder is one of the saddest deaths of the year. He was one of the most gifted actors ever.

Who Do You Think Will Be Elected President Of The United States In 2016?
Ankou replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I think the best thing we can do now is wait and see where he'll go. I'm sure all that nonsense he was spouting all that hateful nonsense during his campaign to get a max amount of votes. If you listen to his speech after the election he was rather calm and didn't mention any of his most controversial ideas. Trump only wanted to become president to show Obama that he could do it. He has no real plan and will probably let his staff handle all the presidential stuff. -

But in other countries Trump couldn't happen so easily since it's the popular vote that counts. -

The official theme song for Trump's presidency, now more relevant than ever: "Eve of Destruction" by Barry McGuire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntLsElbW9Xo -

Sorry, my bad. Didn't check there as he fits more into this thread -
No First Gentleman this time. Darn, that would have been cool However, there is a real possibility that some decides to do away with him, so I'd recommend him for next year's list.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned him yet, but world famous clown Oleg Popov died a week ago, aged 86. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2016/11/04/oleg-popov-russian-circus-star-known-as-the-sunshine-clown--obit/ -

Thank God I don't live in the United States. There's so much wrong with that country. It's sad to think that there really are people who believed all the crap Trump has been spouting. Jobs for every single "decent" American? Get real . I pity all the American sheeple. That being said we should go back to the really important topics, like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLD31GPt46w -
Several important deaths today related to the US election 1) Common sense 2) Decency 3) Credibility (what little there was left) Candidate for the near future: Nature

The greatest clown is still Donald Trump.

I only know Adriano Celentano as a singer. Forgot about Franco Nero. Didn't even know he was still alive. -

Hmm... don't know any of the male actors. The only famous (abroad) male Italian actors that come to mind right away are Terence Hill (of course) and Roberto Benigni. -

Understandable. I don't think there is any country that loves Bud Spencer more than Germany... which is not a bad thing. Germany's obsession with David Hasselhoff on the other hand... -
Too bad that his later films are much worse than his earlier ones. I still watch regularly The Producers, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, and Spaceballs... and Robin Hood - Men in Tights, which is definitely not one of his best, but I like it.

Really sad about Bud Spencer's passing. He was one of my favorite actors of all time. I'd say he's the most popular and famous Italian actor in Europe. His films air constantly on German TV and I've seen most of them at least ten times. R.I.P. Bud. As to Götz George, I've seen all the Schimanski movies, of course, as well as some others, but I wouldn't say I was a big fan. His passing is sad nonetheless. -
I'm glad we haven't participated since 1994. Most of the songs are crap and the contest costs a lot of money with no real economic returns. And for each of our 5 wins we had to rely on foreign artists. How does that promote the country?

I clicked the link. Hot damn, I wouldn't have recognized him. The man on the picture doesn't look anything like the Brain I used to watch in the ring.

Clash Of Helmuts - Which Will Die First?

Apparently Helmut Schmidt's health is deteriorating fast. It's probably only a matter of days. http://www.n-tv.de/politik/Schmidt-ist-nicht-mehr-ansprechbar-article16313971.html -
I think wrestling died with the Attitude Era. I liked wrestling before the Attitude Era, even if it was corny and the stories simplistic and naive. I liked the Attitude Era for the badassery and over the top exaggerated story lines. Unfortunately, it was impossible to top the Attitude Era, and wrestling became stale, especially since most wrestlers today are generic and forgettable. Honestly, they are pretty much all built the same and lack interesting personalities.

What I liked most about him was his randomness. You never really knew what to expect from him. He might not have been the best technician, but he was a lot of fun to watch. He made me smile.
-
RIP Roddy. You were one of my favourites. He's really not the one I'd expected to leave next.

Helmut Kohl ftw
-
Really? I only know him from his days in the WWF (late 80s I think) and he wasn't really that impressive to watch. But then, what do I know about wrestling? Bujt I'm sure that people like him wouldn't have a chance to step into the ring with the current fad of pretty boys and bodybuilders in the ring.
