And the Democrats still want to nominate him? There must be a reason they are happy to keep this guy in power, but I’m not sure what it is. What is he going to be like in four years time?

She’s still an 89 year old woman with known breathing difficulties. Perhaps not the strongest pick of the year but I just can’t see her going far into her 90s in her state.

Missed this last week, Sven made an appearance at a Swedish sport gala. Face looks rather bloated but still fit enough and in good spirits.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive
JonNgoat replied to Catherine's topic in DeathList Forum
I noticed that Brian Glanville wrote Franz Beckenbauer’s obituary in the Guardian and was surprised to find he is still alive at 92, though not sure if he is still writing anywhere. He looked ancient when I was reading him in World Soccer about 20 years ago. -
From the article: The family are in the process of hiring a security team that will ensure no photographs of the 55-year-old leak out.
-
His voice also sounds good and he’s still able to walk mostly unaided. Age is really the only reason for him to be on the list.
-
International management is a game of luck in many ways. Two penalty shoot-outs go the other way and he would be seen now as one of the great England managers.
-
Sven-Goran Eriksson has a year to live. Obvious pick if he makes it to 2025.
-
who is the most famous player of the 60s still alive now then?
-
Now that is someone I totally forgot is still alive...
-
Syd Little is still operating a pub in Fleetwood and seems okay, I don’t see him as especially likely to go soon.
-
Well I was wrong on this one. Interviewed by the BBC about his condition.
-
Interesting to read through the earlier pages of this thread particularly 2015 when he was first diagnosed with cancer. Basically no one gave him more than a couple of years and the idea of him making 2020 was ridiculed. With his recent woes it’s easy to forget just how much of a survivor he is!

Maurice arriving at the funeral.

And now she has left him again: Rosalynn Carter, former first lady and tireless humanitarian who advocated for mental health issues, dies at 96

And some clips from the interview: https://x.com/bbcbreakfast/status/1724701259356135433?s=46&t=8wIlQ43b9SxaQrrsf4MLtA https://x.com/bbcbreakfast/status/1724684795286782199?s=46&t=8wIlQ43b9SxaQrrsf4MLtA

Not sure why she is constantly posting pictures like that of him. He looks horrific.

Yes, the loss of Pelé and Charlton really feels like the closing of a chapter for me -with almost none of the greats of 1966 still around.
-
I did think he looked a bit frail when I saw a picture a few months ago so definitely one to keep an eye on. However if he has kept this quiet for 5 years, I don’t expect we will be getting much information about his condition going forward.

Julie Goodyear - Coronation Street legend
JonNgoat replied to Gooseberry Crumble's topic in DeathList Forum
She also hasn’t been photographed for many years which makes the change particularly jarring. Didn’t think she would be seen in public again tbh. -
Slagging off doctors on Twitter again. He thinks he has at least six more months, so still likely to see 2024.
-
Sent a birthday message to Jimmy Carter.
-
Looking and sounding great for 90 as she was calling Laurence Fox a dick earlier today.

Michael Parkinson has died.
