John Force remains in the ICU after a huge accident during an NHRA event Sunday morning.

Apparently this wreck was GNARLY. I'm sure everyone's seen the video of Gordon Smiley blowing his car, and himself, into a million pieces all over turn 3 at Indianapolis by now. Some of the descriptions of Renna's crash make it sound like Smiley's crash to the power of two.

2003 Indianapolis 500 champion Gil de Ferran has passed away at 56.

The other rider involved, Andre Verissimo (not related to Erico), has also succumbed to his injuries.

An update to the story, the person responsible for stabbing East has been terminated by local authorities. Sounds like East was just going about his day and got stabbed by the local meth head.

The video of the crash is sad...the kid takes the fall, and he's perfectly fine until he tries to scramble out of the way, and gets tagged by another rider. Only 14 too, so sad. Been a very sad year in terms of motorcycle racing, and Brad Jones seems like he's fixing to kick the bucket too...

Apparently NASCAR driver Eric McClure has passed away rather unexpectedly, though he did suffer a massive crash nine years ago that he still suffered effects from.

One to look out for, ARCA driver Derrick Lancaster has been placed on a ventilator after a violent crash in today's race. No broken bones, but has suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns as well as possible lung damage from smoke inhalation.
