When Jimmy will pass away, it's almost certain that Rosalynn will join him quickly and the same in the opposite case.

My dad's cousin died last year ten weeks to the day after she lost her husband. They had been married for 77 years (that's not a typo).

  2. I took a dislike to her when she started that 'Jobsworth' crap - mocking people who used the expression "That's more than my job's worth." - which translates as "I don't have the authority to let you do that - if I did, I would be subject to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal." which doesn't seem at all unreasonable to me.

Is there anyone here who saw the very first episode of Doctor Who?

I did. No memory of it, though I've seen it numerous times since on DVD.

Main memory is of the night before, with the JFK assassination.

So, even the permissive Edinburgh Festival have seen fit to cancel Jerry Sadowitz' second of two scheduled shows.

Just to clarify, it wasn't 'the Festival' that cancelled the show, nor even the Fringe (which is not the same thing) - it was the individual venue.

Anyway, the sooner the whole thing is over, the better - looking forward to being able to travel on buses again without being held up by fuckwit tourists who seem astonished by the concept that they actually have to pay a fare.

  5. After he retired he opened a cafe and I remember reading that on offer was the Yogi Breakfast - double egg, double bacon, double sausage, double tattie scone etc. etc.

If you didn't think you could eat all that there was an option for single portions of everything - known as the Boo-Boo Breakfast!

A day and a bit to go. In Greek culture, it is believed that the soul does not leave the body until three days after a person dies. Because of this, the family will visit the grave three days after the death for a small ceremony where a priest blesses a plate of koliva, scatters it to the wind, and then breaks the plate on the tombstone

This company seems to have a few plates surplus to requirement.
