Willie Carson (82 in November) with Giles Brandreth at the Derby today. Carson should hopefully have several more Derby days to enjoy based on this.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2025

Saw Knopfler give a BBC TV interview recently and I thought he looked and sounded fine for someone his age. Phil Collins is a better candidate or Ossie Osborne.

Timothy is still looking fairly robust for someone who will be 90 later this year. Both could easily pass for ten years younger than they both are.

Pictured with Queen Camilla today. She's beginning to look very confused but still looks pretty good for a nonagenarian who has had dementia for twenty plus years.

    Assassinations

I meant more in terms of the circumstances. The Wallace assassination attempt was four shots to the chest and abdomen. Wallace was touch and go for a while and needed a five hour operation to survive. Sounds very similar circumstances to this situation.

Something of the George Wallace scenario about all this.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg lasted a good while with it but agreed. The fact they never announced the type of cancer feels ominous given that pancreatic is known to be the worst type to get.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2025

A very impressive list. One has to say those born in the 1940s and beyond are generally holding up pretty well, so far. Does anyone know if Leonard Preston (who was the main star of one of the more memorable Tales of the Unexpected Episodes) but doesn't appear to be on your list is still alive? He appears to be born in 1954 but very little public information available perhaps due to this https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/4425580
