Ron "Chopper" Harris and Eddie Gray being interviewed on ITV ahead of the Chelsea v Leeds match. Both played in the legendary 1970 FA Cup final. Gray is still very much a public figure but Harris surprised me with how good he looks for 79.

Twiggy does look amazing for her age. She, Benjamin and Walter could all pass for ten years younger than they actually are.

Didn't know that about Haines - grim. The Rest is History podcast isn't exactly flattering about him either. -
People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

Listening to the Rest is History 1974 episodes, I was surprised that Harold Wilson's Press Secretary, Joe Haines, is still alive aged 96. I thought he'd died several years ago. -
Most impressive head of hair for a 94 year old I have seen. Am I alone in thinking Wagner looks a lot like Lord (David) Owen?

In fairness, you can understand why their son is pleased that they are still out and about in their advanced years. They've clearly had a long and happy marriage and dementia aside still been fairly lucky in the lottery of life compared to many others. Which I'm personally glad about.

Photo of Pru and Tim from this week

None of them look at death's door even Redgrave. I know she's a former model but Twiggy in particular looks amazing for her age.

She looks fine in the images on the Daily Mail website.

I hope this doesn't curse Patricia Routledge but she looks relatively ok for her age despite the wheelchair

Penelope Keith looks good for 83. Maureen Lipman and Joanna Lumley are both quite glamorous still for 77.

Allegedly a new photo but I have a deja vu moment about this

Oldest Living football league players

Partly likely to be dementia related. However, also cricketers from this generation were generally from a much more middle class background than footballers. Many footballers born in the 1920s and 1930s will have worked in mines or factories prior to their sporting careers or afterwards or even in some cases during it. Also footballers playing in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s were not especially well paid. It will be interesting to see how those playing in the 1980s and 1990s who were much better paid get on. -
Gambo was quoted as saying this "The reason why he never complained during this two-year period is because he was the main carer for his dad, who is seriously ill and whom he would visit at least once a week. That took precedence over everything."
-
All in all, he did well to get to 69 at his size without dying of cancer or more obvious major health issues. The fact his father is still alive suggests he probably had decent genes.
-
I notice from the coverage his father is still alive. He must be old seeing as Wright was nearly 70.

New single. Interviewed here and looks fine to me

Paul Nicholas at his sadistic best in Tommy. Quite a journey from this role to the Major in Fawlty Towers

A new video from Ringo outlining his proposed activity for 2024. He doesn't appear to be slowing down and he looks and sounds amazing for an 83 year old

Allan Border has been interviewed about his Parkinsons diagnosis. He claims he is in good health apart from Parkinsons and still plays golf. He looks and sounds good all things considered -
Graham Lee and Henrietta Knight pictured today. Not sure what Graham Lee's long term prognosis is but he appears to be out of mortal danger at least.
-
He looks perfectly recognisable and fine healthwise to me. Nothing to see here.
