He's doing interviews regarding the death of Zbigniew Brzezinski. Sounds in good shape. Certainly no mental decline whatsoever.

Bush is a goner. Carter to be the 1st President to reach 100? He looks odds on to beat Ford's record as oldest president ever next year.

With Neil Gorsuch likely to be confirmed to the Supreme Court one way or another in the next few days, it got me thinking about the next vacancy. This article claims Anthony Kennedy (80) might retire - would be replaced by a Trump/Pence Conservative. What are the odds on Ruth Bader Ginsberg (84) surviving a 4 year Trump (and/or) Pence administration? Not likely, in my opinion. And what if Stephen Breyer (78) was to have some kind of medical emergency? The Court would end up ultra-conservative for good or ill. Either way, Kennedy and RBG seem like goners within the next 4 years.

Willie Nelson still cancelling concerts

Apparently he's been in hospital since Saturday. Could mean he's through the worst, or could mean there have been complications. Really, could mean anything.

Zbigniew Brzezinski seems very active still. Regularly appears on his daughter's show 'Morning Joe.' Wikipedia says he was born in 1928, though, not 1927. Saw photos of George Schultz at Nancy Reagan's funeral and he seemed in pretty good health (although it is always nice to outlive your enemies....)

Bill Clinton to die in the next 3 or 4 years. He looks like a skeleton as it is!

Who Do You Think Will Be Elected President Of The United States In 2016?
NJD123 replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I had a rather amusing/sad idea (depending on your point of view) the other day. If Bush Sr or Carter die in the next 4 years (very likely), surely Trump will be expected to speak at the funeral as the sitting President. This seems to be the tradition in America. Can't imagine the Bush family would be happy about that!! -
Looking at Wikipedia's list of all-time oldest people, it seems like there was a lot of them in the 1990s (especially during the end, with 3 out of the current top 5 dying between 1997 and 1999), and now there's again a surge. I wonder why there seems to be less of them in the 2000s. My guess would be the group who were aged 110+ in the late 1990s were too old to have fought in WW1; the group who are 110+ now are too young to have fought in WW1. Hence why there were fewer 110+ in the 2000s - they were the WW1 generation. That might explain the men, not sure about the women.

Agree with you - very poor genealogy. Grandparents dead aged 51, 53, 59 and 67. Mother died aged 70. Father died in car crash aged 36. Stepfather who raised him (not a direct relative but the environment you are brought up in must surely impact later health) died aged 59. I don't think this has anything to do with money or geography - just bad genes. Other Presidents from similiar poor backgrounds in the South and MidWest had much better genes. Harry Truman's mother lived to 94, Eisenhower's parents lived to their 80s etc. I think he must have the worst family medical history of any recent US President. Obama's parents both died young but three of his Grandparents lived into their 80s. IMO Bill genuinely might go before Jimmy Carter!

I'm surprised Bill Clinton's health doesn't crop up more in conversation. He's 70 but looks much older IMO and has a very poor family medical history - all grandparents and both parents dead before 70.

What do you think Trump's life expectancy is? His father was 93 (suffered from Alzheimers for the final 6 years). His mother was 88. He supposedly has never smoked or drank alcohol but lives off junk food and seems to be a high-stress personality (to put it mildly!)
