Autumn is a great time for going to gigs. I'm off to see The Horrors on October 24th, The Killers at the start of November and Howard Jones at the end of November. All at different venues in Birmingham.

May have been posted elsewhere, but Jasper Carrott has to have a heart bypass as a matter of urgency.

RIP. Always enjoyed watching his show and his dry sense of humour made him more watchable.

I'm hoping to retire at 60 and if I do it seems that I can expect lots of concern from well wishers at work!

I grew up with Last of the Summer Wine and every episode seemed to have Sallis and his cohorts careering down a hill in tin bath or something similar. Harmless fun and guaranteed to raise a giggle in my parent's house. R.I.P.

I'm going with Christie as Brucie seems intent on carrying on.

Agree that it wasn't a great film, but in terms of a hot leading lady it is right up there with the best.

It was the Blues that bought somebody in to lift a gypsy's curse some years ago if my memory is correct. I'm sticking with Brucie.

Very sad news and a shoo-in for 2018. My mum dragged me to watch Olivia in Grease at the cinema when I was eleven as my Dad was working and I was smitten instantly. Does make you feel very old.

My seventh hit of the year. He went walkabout in the Majorcan searing heat a while back so he was obviously very sick. back then.

Anybody who is 91 is on borrowed time so I wouldn't read too much into it. However, a possibility for 2018!
