I feel like late December/early January deaths are especially common. It's flu/covid season and that gets more dangerous as the elderly get older. My great grandmother died around this time about ten years ago, and my grandfather died one week into January.

Just now, The Old Crem said:She seems pretty healthy for an 83 year old. Still, hadn't seen her in a wheelchair until recently but upon googling recent pics, she's been using one for a bit now.
She still performs, as far as I'm aware, and was making new music just a couple years ago.

Joseph DeAngelo is disallowed under the "Famous for being a criminal" rule. I am sure he is quite a high profile killer in the US, having no less than 3 nicknames. However my wife is the barometer when it comes to criminal fame, and she has never heard of him, so he is out. James Baker moves up to the main team.
A note to all players. My wife hates all True Crime programmes and books, so the chances of her having heard of a criminal are pretty slim. There is a very high bar to clear for a criminal to be allowed.
I appreciate the notice. Thought it was worth a try haha. I'm American and he's quite infamous here but I found a lot of UK articles about him too.

He's been rumored to be seriously ill for years but it has definitely accelerated in the past year or two. He'll be on my shadow list next year

Carter is 50/50 for making the new year IMO. I can see one or two more old hits, like Jean-Marie Le Pen or Greenspan, before the end of the year. I think 19 or 20 is the most likely outcome this year.

I think the Pope's recent health history should earn him a spot on the list. The Dalai Lama is also turning 89 next year. Two names that would be big misses.

Looks pretty good. Is there any evidence that Kilmer is ill again? I know cancer recurrences are common but I thought he was in remission for a while. Otherwise a solid list, I can count 15 or so picks that are pretty certain to be hits.
