Martinus Veltman, Dutch scientist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1999, reportedly has died. There are reputable reports from his family on Facebook and the scientific community, though no obituary as of yet. A DDP pick a few times.

To be fair they both are being treated in Cedars-Sinai Find it curious they allowed the story to run for an entire day before correcting - even if as the report suggests it was an error at the hospital, surely someone would have seen a report and called to correct. -
