Earl Cureton, who played with the Philadelphia 76ers (1980-1983), Chicago Bulls (1986-1987), and the Houston Rockets (1994) amongst others, has died aged 66. NBA Champion in ‘83 with the 76ers and ‘94 with the Rockets. -
Barry John, fly-half who played for Wales (1966-1972) and the British Lions (1968-1971), has died aged 79. He was on the Welsh Team that won the 1971 Five Nations Championship and the British Lions squad in their successful 1971 tour against New Zealand. Hage Geingob, third (and incumbent) President of Namibia serving since 2015, reportedly dead aged 82. Also served as Prime Minister from 1990-2002 and 2012-2015. -

Christopher Priest, British sci-fi author, has died aged 80. He won the World Fantasy Award for The Prestige, which was later made into a film by Christopher Nolan.

Now the other Steve Brown, the lyricist, composer and record producer, has died. He worked on West End Musicals Spend Spend Spend and I Can’t Sing! The X Factor Musical. He composed many of the songs and jingles on loads of programmes such as Spitting Image in the 80s/90s, Dead Ringers and The Ant and Dec Show (including Wonkey Donkey).

Yep and I am starting to think the period has passed. It was on the Chronicle for the majority of yesterday, it was announced at the meeting of Full Council which has press attending, and if it was going to go up I’d have thought it would have been today. I didn’t pick him for DDP as I wasn’t convinced it’d get followed up. Nothing on the local news this evening.

Tommy Baldwin, who played for Arsenal (1962-1966) and Chelsea (1966-1974), amongst other teams, has died aged 78.
