Where Has Tempus, Godot, Everybody, Anybody Gone?
Six replied to Windsor's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Welcome back Tempus! I have missed reading your straight-to-the-point, no-crap type posts! -
I am not one of ' the people' you talk of. As for baseball, who cares? Many people have owned sporting teams, that doesn't qualify them in any way to run a country or to make huge life or death decisions. We shouldn't discuss politics, it's a tricky subject. I'll just finish by saying that my reason for hating Bush is that he's a twat. ok?

Things To Do While Waiting For Death... 2006

Did the test. I was hoping to be Tom Baker's Doctor Who, but no. By the way, I'm not a fan of Doctor Who, I just think Tom Baker looked way cool as the Doctor. -
Stumpy. Great name. That huge, nasty worm thing in Tremors was named ' Stumpy ' too. Mrs Gold-Digger should be pleased to be given that name, I think. Anyway, I still think that Dubya is the most hated. I MOST hate him and I'm sure other people most hate him too.

Very good, Lady Die. Made me spit my tea out.

I'm currently reading the recommended 'American Gods'. It is, as stated by the two much-respected readers above, a good read. I am intrigued, confused and creeped out, and thoroughly enjoying the experience! Thanks for the recommendations! And, BHB, it takes me a while to get through a book these days. I used to be a speedy reader and could get through many books in not so many days. Now, though, my two young children knacker me out so much that when I get to read ( at night, after they've gone to bed ) I usually fall asleep after about twenty minutes reading. Interestingly though, the story I'm reading at the time becomes mingled with my dreams and creates some very strange stories indeed.

You have this on good authority I suppose? [shudder] I think you may be right. As for who I think is the most hated at the moment, Dubya gets my vote.

Happy birthday, One Shot Paddy! Hope you enjoy your day! -
I was just browsing and came across this thread. I totally agree with DDT and was, spookily, discussing the evil brothers with my sister yesterday. She has both on her list for 2007, claiming that she 'feels' they will die in a freak accident. She assures me that she will have no part in the said ' accident ', and I really do believe her.

Numero Me! Again I have voted for Liz Taylor. Fingers crossed, eh?

I survived the film (what people round our way call a movie) but only just. All I remember is how cold it was (in the cinema) but then we were sitting in the third class seats drinking Guinness and dancing most of the time. I think that the film was one of the worst ever made, along with Mrs Doubtfire, and I can't believe how corny it was or how the writers managed to justify turning it into a crappy love story. That's just my opinion though, I know at least one person who enjoyed the film.

hey, i am not a moron, yet. Apologies for that comment doggie. I believe the sentence, "Ensure them that you have both countries interests at heart and overtime wish to build a meaningful relationship" is meant to read, "Assure them that you have both countries' interests at heart and, over time, wish to build a meaningful relationship." Bravo, Cowboy Ronnie! -

To Notapotato: Hope you have a wonderful birthday with absolutely no potatoes present, or present potatoes!! [ Sound file: Happy Birthday song played on ukulele ] Hope you like the music! -
Have you read his Frankenstein stuff? I've been a fan of Koontz for quite some years now, and kept putting off reading the Frankenstein books as I'm dubious of remakes and such like. I got Book One from the library and immediately after reading it I had to buy Book Two. I was hooked. It's not a re-write, it's a completely new idea. I'm now waiting for book three to be released. Oh, I read Jon Ronson's 'Them: Adventures With Extremists' and I would recommend it to everyone!

Oi, Cowboy Ronnie, you have a choice about checking out the Sickipedia. As for heaping abuse on Maryport, have you ever been? Cowboy Ronnie's post refers to a post that was utterly deleted and removed. Never saw it myself but, from what it sounded like, it wasn't all too pleasant. Sickipedia is amusing, if it's your thing. Just to back-up Canadian Paul - I was browsing through this thread and was shocked by a totally disgusting image that an obviously insane person had posted. It was posted just after maryportfuncity's 'Sickipedia' post, and was quickly deleted by Cowboy Ronnie. His remarks really had nothing to do with Maryport, which, by the way, I have never actually been to but I have been close to!?! It seems to be surrounded by nice areas!!!

Your charm and intelligence, obviously! Maybe Mrs Godot and Mr Six are perfect matches too, and we all failed to meet at some point in the past resulting in the partnerships we have today.......? Maybe I just don't get out enough and have an over-active imagination. -

As a mother, I say a huge THANK YOU for your kind words. I'm a little confused though. I thought Mother's Day was in March. -

Kenya, apparently. President. I'd teach that Dubya a thing or two! Actually, I could teach him laods, as he seems to know nothing right now. -

According to the test, I use my left brain the most. I answered 7 questions as a right-brained person, and 11 questions as a left-brained person. What this means is.... ?? -
Maybe that is the curse Well, that might be the case with that moronic excuse for a drummer, but Sir Paul is certainly one of the greatest artists ever to have set foot on a podium. I agree with the Paul thing... he had the most amazing vocal range and such timbre in his voice. HAD though. Lost it now, sadly. Lost the hair too. And the ability to write great songs. Anyway, I don't agree with the Ringo comment. He has such a great ' lazy ' style and he was always great as the Thomas narrator!!!

I am actually learning to play the uke. My other half bought me a uke for my birthday - the man in the shop said he sells loads of them! I was inspired after seeing the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain. Ahhh... the UOGB. They are very good, but my hubby raves about them so much I'm becoming sick of them! He met George and Hester of the UOGB at a masterclass in London not so long ago... he was starstruck! Sad, I know. As for getting annoyed at having a large volume of 'trolls', O of O, I find this all very comical and shall look forward to his many complaints; my resonse to which will involve quiet sN-wording behind his back. Oh what fun! In the end, I'll tell him it was all my doing... and I'll also inform him of your concern, O of O, I'm sure he'll see the funny side.

Now you have me interested. I'm a bit of a ukulele man myself you know. Makes me realise how little I know about ukulele players, apart from Formby. So where's this Ukulele Forum then? Is it worth trolling? Most definitely! They are all crazy-mad for ukuleles and anything ukulele-related, but be warned: you will be moaned at until the end of time if you mention Mr G Formby! He, apparently, played a banjo-ukulele, not a REAL ukulele!( shock, horror ) and isn't mentioned much. It would be great fun for me if someone did happen to join their forum and, say, wind them up a bit. It's great fun winding my hubby up and I'd get huge amounts of pleasure from watching him wound up by someone else!! I am learning to play the uke myself, and am finding it really easy, surprisingly, but I'm not into listening to ukulele bands or whatever! If you want to go and have a nosey, I can't stop you, it's Uke Players of the World. Enjoy!!
