Here's another great one for you... Peter Andre is just five minutes away from me right now. How exciting. As I mentioned on Facebook, he's not on any of my lists, so he should be very careful! -
I'd be happy to meet up again next year. I'd be equally happy to meet up in the summer of 2012. The only thing... no, two things, that could have made the event better from my point of view would have been: 1- Having the event in a hotel. (So I could have booked a room and therefore not worried about getting all the way home on my own, therefore being able to freely drink the gin & tonics I so love in the knowledge that I'd only have to crawl to my room at the end of the evening. I was drinking bitter shandy yesterday. No fun in that. ) 2- Having more members there. ( I would have loved to meet HCW, Josco, Alphonsin, MH and many more, plus the famous DL women. It was great having a cosy meeting and having NAP's cute puppy-dog eyes all to myself, but I think a big get-together of all the DL greats would be amazing. ) Lastly, as you were told by LB, you are a great person for taking on the organisation and you deserve the praise you get. All raise your glasses ( mine's got lots of gin and a little tonic in ) for the fabulous Rotten Ali... cheers.

I braved the big city yesterday. After 2 hours on a packed train I had to force my way through the abominable maze that is the 'Tube', fight my way through masses of seemingly blind shoppers and was very close to giving up and running back to the safety of my little town, when I was saved by the wonderful Rotten Ali! Phew! RA is shockingly thorough in his research and put me to shame with my ' just picking people I don't like ' method ( probably why I've never won any deadpool competitions ), and he's a super sweet man too. I will cherish my fabulous DL Con IV pen, and am having a glass cabinet custom made for my super competition prize. I had a lovely time with the few DL legends I was lucky to meet and could rave on about how funny MPFC is with his fabulous anecdotes, or how sweet and intelligent NAP is, or how organised RA is, or how I only met Time for a short time (!) as I had to leave early... Anyway, I won't go on. I'm sorry more people weren't able to come along and I'm looking forward to the next meeting. May I propose that it isn't held in London next year? I really didn't like London. I really, especially didn't like the Tube. I also met a horrible bus driver on my way back to Paddington, but that's a story for another day. Thanks RA for arranging the event, and thanks to those who were there for being there!

Can anyone top this? My niece stood behind Tim Minchin in a shop queue in Taunton. I wasn't there though. -
I'll be coming along with fellow DL member JodieTheyer. If there are any shoe shops close to our venue, she'll stop me from spending my money there rather than at the bar!
-
Yay! I'll see you there.

New Here And Just Saying Hello - 2010

Hey Jodie! Good to see you on here. It could become quite a family thing, except I really don't think we should encourage other family members to join. Everybody be nice, now. Jodie is a black belt in things that have belt colours related to levels of skill in something. Also, she's really sweet! -
People who say ' of ' instead of ' have '. " I should of picked the blue one. " Even worse are people who write ' of ' instead of ' have ' in a sentence, which happens quite frequently on Facebook if you have my family members as your friends.

I could do with a night out, and can think of nothing better than spending my time with a group of strangers who are obsessed with celebrity deaths! A summer meeting would be nice, but if not, I'm ok with October 30th. Count me in! : )

I really could have used 15 votes, at least. Picking my top three was just too difficult. I don't post much on here, but I do spend a lot of time floating in the shadows, reading the witty, intelligent posts of all those... erm... witty, intelligent posters... ! I have voted for the sweet tempered, mild mannered Star Crossed - for making me feel so welcome when I joined all those years ago. ( ! ) I also voted for HCW for making me laugh many times. My last vote goes to Alphonsin, simply because he's so nice!

I had a dream about Richard O'Sullivan last night. He was on a stage with 5 other pensioners, each sitting with their backs to the audience. I was backstage, and approached him to ask if he was Richard O'Sullivan. He said yes, then held my hand and told me how grateful he was that I was not acting all silly and 'giggly' like other fans had in the past. I told him I wasn't really a fan, just interested in his health. I then woke up. So, after all of that, I have no actual news on the state of Richard O'Sullivan's health. : )

Congratulations Windsor - and what a great picture! Well done : ) -
That's so sad, CO. I'm so sorry.

Now, really, Notapotato, you should have added some kind of warning about the content of that link. I'm still shuddering after the initial shock. As this is Room 101, I suggest that the clip in question remain here and never be spoken of again. Would it help if I said please? " Please! " Also, I nominate George Formby for Room 101 as I really, really don't like him at all. : )

Good Day, Let me start by introducing myself, I am MRS. KRISTIE UGGERRI, REGIONAL AUDITOR OFFICER BANCO DE ORO UNIVERSAL BANK. I am writing you this letter based on the latest development at my bank, which I will like to bring to your personal edification. I am a top official in charge of client accounts in (EQUITABLE PCI BANK) which is now BANCO DE ORO UNIVERSAL BANK inside the Philippines the merger was (2007). The merger is part of a long-term goal of Banco de Oro to become one of the largest names in the Philippine banking industry. In 2001, my client was going through a horrendous divorce in the United States of America and was on the verge of losing most of his estate to his vicious and diabolical wife. As a result of this alarming predicament, my client came to me with a very brilliant idea. He transferred some funds, Ten Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($10.2m) to a fixed deposit account in my bank under an alias which only the two of us knew about as the confidentiality of the matter was necessary for his protection. Due to his untimely death in early 2002, the funds have been sitting in the account ever since and will continue to do so perpetually unless we do something about it. This is where you come in. I actually searched through Google to get your email. My client did not declare any next of kin in his official papers including the paper work of his bank deposit. Against this backdrop, my suggestion to you is that I would like you as a foreigner to stand as the next of kin to our client so that you will be able to receive his funds. I want you to know that I have had everything planned out so that we can come out successful. All that is required from you at this stage is for you to provide me with your Full Names and Address and telephone number to me via email. As soon as i get your positive response, I will contacted an attorney that will prepare the necessary document that will back you up as the next of kin to my client. . The allocation of our money will be as follows: 30%($3.06m) to you for your part in this, 70% for me. Again, I will be in charge of everything else. I will assume all responsibilities for this endeavor so you don't have to worry about any legal ramifications, just what you will do with all that money. Your urgent response is highly anticipated so please email me through this email address (-------------) for more details on this transaction as soon as possible. This should be kept very secret and confidential. Hope to hear from you soon . Kind Regards, Mrs. Kristie Uggerri E-mail:--------------- _________________________________________________________________________ Only 30%! I'd want at least 35. -
That's a very colourful Godot-Squid - he's just had a fight with a Japanese whaler, apparently. I have created a squid too ( now there's a sentence I never thought I'd use ). I couldn't bring myself to call it ' Six-Squid ', so it's just called ' Six '. !!

Don't I need your name first? Ahhh. That would probably help a little, wouldn't it? I'm ' Named and Shamed ' in the group, so you can find me there. : )

That should be approved now Me too? OK OK, Erm............................... now what? Now you get to be friends with all those sad DLers who hang around facebook all the time listing their top five of various subjects/objects, and leaving mind-numbing status comments. Sad, sad people. Look me up, I'm there all the time... please be my friend!

LG Said... Hmm, Ok I've taken out the early ones and replaced them with these (although we could have kept Slade's Greatest Hits as it was released in 1997 ), I'm fairly sure that nothing from my collection will be loaded onto your ipod or anybody elses for that matter . Rammstein - Mutter Thunder - Laughing on Judgement Day The Quireboys - A Bit of What You Fancy Accept - Balls to the Wall Georgia Satellites - Georgia Satellies David Lee Roth - Eat 'em and Smile I absolutely loved that album! Memories... My own musical tastes became limited as my age increased. I mostly listen to The Beatles now, but I sometimes regress and blast out super-loud tracks from my younger days -Love/Hate, The Almighty, Skid Row... then again, I do like listening to Jack Johnson in my more mellow moods.

No, but I suspect the dark hand of politically-correct overlords have decreed that IQ-challenged viewers must not feel victimised by multisyllable words your average John Craven's Newsrounder would eat for breakfast. The dumbing down of the media to fit today's sound-bite celebrity-obsessed masses is an ongoing and worsening tragedy. Lard Bazaar, I didn't realise you were a girl - and you sound like a very charming girl too. I naturally thought you'd be a boy - as DL is not populated by girls. Gazza's goal is great - I'm not denying that - and I have nothing against Gazza - he's a nice guy - I've met him. However, don't get in a drinking contest with him - he'll drink you under the table. Is it not? Where did you get that idea from? And to stay on topic... I definitely think my Jade-loving cousin should be thrown into Room 101. She's trying to organise a fun-run to raise money for ' poor Jade's little boys ' . Give me strength??!!
