List with substitutes compiled and submitted. This sounds like fun and a good way to use names unlikely to see January 2019. My avatar already has the Poker Face.

"Vanessa Goodwin. 1 point for Book, Chorizo, Dead Cow, Drol, Heef, msc, RadGuy and Torva" I see that Toast (to) has correctly been awarded a point for Goodwin. I do not have Vanessa Goodwin on my list, so I (tv) gather my 40 points tally doesn't include her, and are for Dodd, Fabray, Ford, Francis, Graham, Hawking, Miller, Nevin and Tsvangirai and assorted bonuses. You and I both see that I do not have Vanessa Goodwin on my list. I do edit my list, but only to strikeout and bold the hits gained. msc's update had a typo, I suspect, as to and tv are consecutive abbreviations, both Torva and Toast begin with To.... I am pointing out that in msc's update I had been incorrectly awarded a point that should have gone to Toast for Vanessa Goodwin; your update correctly awarded the point to Toast, so I should not have in my tally a point I didn't merit.

If only there were a bonus for reading the obit on the 13th of March for a Joker who died on the 14th -- New World Problems.

Last night my husband asked me if I have Stan Lee on my dead pool, mentioned Lee's pneumonia and the magic words "Sad Last Days" in a Montreal Gazette headline.

I am an admirer of Stephen Fry, and today is the anniversary of my mother's death from cancer. She was two years younger than Mr. Fry is now, and was also an admirer of his. Mr. Fry, via his Norwich address, let me know he had adapted a vegetarian diet and therefore wouldn't participate in the "Hot Ones" vodcast (odd, because Ricky Gervais and Russell Brand, both vegans, guested on "Hot Ones" and ate the no-meat spicy facsimiles, YouTube has the videos). I don't know how much Fry's vegetarian diet affects his blood sugar, but I do know that sugar is the main source of fuel for cancer cells. He should cut out soy, which mimics the female hormone oestrogen and causes testosterone in the bloodstream to convert to DHT, which is a great irritant to the prostate that can cause enlargement, inflammation, and cancer. If he doesn't adapt his diet to take in more protein from eggs and shellfish, if he's vegetarian for humane reasons, I might add him in upcoming death pools.

Productive month so far for my list with five hits, one of them a Joker. (Fabray, Graham, Miller, Nevin, Tsvangirai).

I drew cards, and Olivia de Havilland was the first of the list to get the Death Card, although immediate ends for Tessa Jowell and Leah Bracknell were also indicated in a lesser draw.

Is CBC Obit for Marty Allen okay? I'm surprised the CBC can find space for reporting outside the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. 1920 Roger Angell, Kate Murtagh 1921 Walter Mirisch, Carol Channing 1922 Doris Day, Bert I. Rose Marie's December 2017 death means now that all the cast of 1933's International House have left us. -
Do the candidates in Category #1 have to have presided or ministered during their country's membership in the European Union? Are leaders of "extinct" states like Yugoslavia that were later divided into at least one EU member nation ineligible?

Thanks. That's how I understood it, and I saw one of my new Twenty/Twenty picks who, yes, I admit to stealing as in the rules, listed in another's Twenty/Twenty List. Did someone post an obit for a Twenty/Twenty list member in addition to Ursula K Le Guin between 23/01/18 16h02 and the timestamp of this posting? If not, it looks like Fixed Business needs to replace the 1923 Glynis Johns entry. Otherwise (i.e. no QO for anyone else in the interim), I'll revert to my pre-UKLG-Obit entry.
-
I don't think I have a handle on how this Twenty/Twenty works. Does someone who has a hit have to include the obit before we replenish our lists, or is finding an obit for someone else's list enough? Does my new list not count because I provided a link to Ursula Le Guin's obit, without having her on my list?

I voted for Javier Pérez de Cuéllar. Either two acute to live or two acute to die...
