I see all these "why should a local politician get accepted" topics of conversation, but the rest of you don't get to see the "person living in woods" picks that people try and sneak in among their 5 other questionable picks.
-
Khairil Idzhar is back in a coma so this could potentially be over soon
-
The way I see it with these kind of picks is that the top teams on average depending on the year have about 3-7 survivors. That gives about 3-7 picks you can try and be a little riskier on, but this number also changes depending on the strength of the 13-17 other picks.

I mean he stepped down when it was announced he had cancer, that's probably why they picked it up in the first place. We've seen councilors get obits before so it's nothing new. Maybe they original writer was off sick today or something idk :/

Glen Cochrane, former player and scout, has died following cancer battle https://x.com/jimmathesonnhl/status/1746281508200218845?s=46&t=Cr3UnGuq63qJwes7xZgxgg

Surprised nobody has posted this yet... Cooking with Lynja has passed away from esophageal cancer. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12954995/Cooking-Lynja-chef-dies-cancer-youtube-influencer.html

Bibian Mentel was denied despite being a 3-time Paralympic champion. Jesus Candel was accepted despite being just some health/doctor influencer. I tend to just send in any names that may seem like they could pass the arbitrary line and just accept it when they don’t. I’ve asked about royalty before and they’ve said that unless they’re fairly prominent they won’t get accepted.

I'll give her a call and get back to you.

Down for another semis exit.

I’ll spoil this unofficially. First unofficial hit was Saleh al-Arouri.

He definitely did die. Saw it after I sent my AO team in. So prior to Jan 1. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0QHLYxRwf2qWmg3W4uWHrbyfBDeeTkEw87sTPGD7kaD6axVRHZ3HXroga41Zvrb3dl&id=100052363980297

I mean on my end it is, but it’s easy enough as a fix however time consuming. The bigger issue lies with people complaining about issues with their teams that are their own fault. I make my own fair share of mistakes, but I don’t understand why people are going out of their own way to mess with what was specifically designed to make this as easy as possible.

Ill use this as an example of what not to do. Please don’t move the joker designator and please do put your joker in the top cell. This spreadsheet is set up to so that I can copy and paste straight into the entry file.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12917811/South-Korean-opposition-leader-Lee-Jae-myung-stabbed-neck-press-conference-Busan.html SK opposition leader Lee Jae-Myung stabbed in the neck at press conference.
-
Should be noted that I'm still working on entering teams, so just because somebody has posted their teams does not mean everyone they submitted was accepted. Nobody has been notified of any specific disqualifications unless you had so many that you required more subs.

I'd like to coin a new term here as the Robert Zimmer rule. If the health news of a fringe pick gets picked up by Yahoo, the news of their death will eventually. A la James Fanale et Sean Wallace. That being said, I have 80/20 confidence Wallace obits and the opposite for Fanale.

The ddp2024@ email doesn’t exist. It says in the email to send it to ddp@ so there really shouldn’t be any confusion.
