A suggestion was made at the beginning of this year in the Ideas and Possibilities for 2021 thread of Japanese economist Hiromitsu Ishi, diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in 2016. Eddie Shack, one of the most colourful players in NHL history, having played over 1,000 games and assessed nearly 1,500 penalty minutes, has died. He was 83.
