Gilles Gilbert, a goaltender who played over a decade in the NHL combined with the Minnesota North Stars, Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings in the 1970s and early 1980s, has died. He was 74. Bob Murdoch, a two-time Stanley Cup winner who played 757 games combined with the Montreal Canadiens, Los Angeles Kings and Atlanta/Calgary Flames, has died. He was 76. After his playing career, Murdoch became an assistant coach with the Flames for several years before taking on head coaching duties with the Chicago Black Hawks (now Blackhawks), and Winnipeg Jets. He was later an associate coach with the expansion San Jose Sharks. @gcreptile You wanted to go out on top. I think you're actually leaver on a higher note than that. Congratulations on the most one-sided victory in the history of this pool. I suppose you'll keep your secret for success just that, a secret. I will continue to check on the apparent list of immortals I selected this round. They are an assortment of deathbed, comatose, ventilator-aided, terminally ill souls. They may not have died this month, but I promise I will save face by year's end...and still not have enough points to have won. Well done!
