Vittorio Panza, the grandfather of Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Victor Mete, has been identified as one of five victims in a mass shooting at a condo in Vaughan, Ontario, north of Toronto. Matthew Johnston, one of two people convicted of six counts of first-degree murder in what was dubbed the 'Surrey Six' murders, has died. He was 38. In 2014, Johnston and Cody Rae Haevischer were convicted of the deaths of six people. No, it's never happened. I came close twice. In 2016, during the afternoon of March 2nd (Eastern Time) the deaths of both Martin Crowe & Sarah Tait came over the wire. Given both died in Oceania, the official death date was March 3rd. Joey Feek was in a coma by that time. But she survived until the morning/early afternoon of March 4th. In 2018, I had Craig MacGregor and Liam Miller, who both died on February 9th. I then found out Marie Gruber had died February 8th.

Christopher W. Newman, a pilot graduate of the Tuskegee Flight School who survived two crashes and flew 84 missions as a fighter pilot in World War II with the Tuskegee Airmen, has died. He was 100. Newman passed on October 21st. Not a death, but Abu Agila Mas'ud, a suspect in the 1988 Pan Am 103 bombing that killed 270 people, has been taken into custody 34 years after the bombing.
