Walter Scott, a philanthropic billionaire and a past top executive of Peter Kiewit Sons Inc. construction firm, who helped oversee Warren Buffett's conglomerate, has died. He was 90. The Suzanne and Walter Scott Foundation that Scott founded said Scott died Saturday. He'd served as a board member of Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate from 1988 until his death. A Chinese man has died from a fatal gas buildup after he chugged 1.5 litre Coca-Cola bottles for 10 minutes. He consumed the beverages to stay hydrated in the heat (it would've had the opposite effect). Several hours later, he began experiencing a swollen stomach and severe pain.
