I'm not having much luck with this thread, but the answer to your question is 'yes'. In my attempt to avoid the last issue I had with this thread, i.e. not using it for someone less-than-famous who had passed after their spouse had already died, this entry might've been more appropriate in the 'Deaths of 2021' thread or the 'Fringes' thread or even the 'Political Frailty' thread. In my mind I was thinking "well, her husband's now dead, so she's a widow, so the entry belongs here". But, the thread's implication is she must already be a widow and be the one dying.

I'm stretching the term 'famous' here, but Brian Fraser, the technical producer of the morning show at Ottawa's top news/talk radio station, whose two year battle with blood cancer was documented on that show, has died. He was 26. Fraser had received well wishes from the likes of Mario Lemieux and Drew Brees while battling leukemia. His death was acknowledged by Ottawa mayor Jim Watson and several sports organizations and broadcasters. https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/cfra-s-brian-fraser-1994-2021-1.5325330?cid=sm%3Atrueanthem%3Actvottawa%3Atwitterpost&taid=603a0a247459310001cdeb04&utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A+Trending+Content&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitter
