As a Port Vale fan it's definitely time for manager Andy Crosby to go. Head of recruitment David Flitcroft can follow him out of the door also. The way Port Vale is being run at the moment is embarrassing. Owner Carol Shanahan said that the club when promoted via the League 2 play-offs two years ago needed to be "Championship Ready". I question that we are even "National League Ready". Lost 3-0 away at Fleetwood Town today who were sitting bottom of the League 1 table. Vale are now in a relegation dogfight for certain. With hardly any strikers and appalling recruitment in the January transfer window Port Vale are doomed to life in the basement league of the EFL pyramid.

Congrats @DoorSlammer

Like @drol said in the Englebert Humperdinck thread, 2024 the year famous/ high profile people don't seem to be dying. Well hopefully by me posting this here jinxes everything and we start to see high prolific names keeling over. I must admit I am totally shocked at the slim to anorexic pickings myself and my fellow dead poolers are getting.

Of course it is very possible that he could live well into his 100's and even become a supercentenarian but as so often happens it only takes a fall or flu/chest infections at DVD's age and could be a goner in a heartbeat. In March 2017 my grandfather had what appeared to be a common cold and was still relatively active. Within 2 weeks he passed away with pneumonia at the age of 79.

I predict the grim reaper is going to confound sceptics and be its most powerful yet like a super strong enema in 2024 moreso than recent years equalling or even beating 2020

@Gooseberry Crumble I love your winning formula and I will always support your positive enema vibes. Certainly compared to these pathetic amateur wannabes James the murderfox @Manda the Dragon -

Tell you what @The Old Crem go watch the movie Beaches with Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey, make sure you have plenty of tissues to hand so you can add to your depressions. Then again the more depressing the more it may turn you on. @Toast is right you are a little ray of sunshine but without the sun. -
Please please please lock this thread until something worthwhile happens. But as @drol would rightly say Jimmy is "The King of Immortals" so he isn't going to relinquish his crown that easily.

Please accept my deepest condolences @drol reassuring at least for you and your family that he did not suffer

Am I allowed to play in this residual game @Summer in Transylvania? If so I will choose Rudolph Marcus

The first 3 deaths go to 3 debutants so the committee deserve some credit for their selections.
