    Fleetwood Mac

Really shocked about her death. As others before me have written, she had such an enormous influence over the succes of Fleetwood Mac, both in songwriting and her vocals. Had you asked me to predict who would be the last one standing of the main line up, I'd have said Christine without a second thought only this afternoon. Really the end of an era, could see Buckingham and another one of the classic line up go in the next couple of years. But for now, I'll just honour this wonderful musician, songwriter and human being. RIP Christine

    Georgian Deadpool II

Fucks sake... Never would've guessed Christine would be the first of my list to go. Not a great start to the game for me. But I'll keep my Dreams of winning this pool alive, her death isn't The Chain by which I'll plummet to the depths of the ranking. Now I'll stop with the puns, I'm just sad about her being gone so sudden.

    Deathlist Dreaming

Yeah, we DL'ers are weird ... On that note, I believe one of my most accurate dream/death predictions was Bush 41. About two / three weeks before it happened I dreamt about how the push notification of the Dutch NOS would look for his death.

    Hollywood Possibilities

He also revealed his maternal grandfather has been suffering from Alzheimer's, and is still alive. A Dutch immigrant and father to Leonie Hemsworth-Van Os (1960). Quote from the Vanity Fair article: I haven't seen him in a few years, but my other family members have and there's some days where he's quite joyful and gives you a big hug. But my mum was saying he's just a really friendly guy. I'm not sure he actually remembers much anymore and he slips in and out of Dutch, which is his original language, so he'll be talking Dutch and English and then a mash-up and then maybe some other new words as well.

    World War II Veterans

Hemmes is the man standing center of the picture, to the right of Princess Beatrix and to the left of Ellis Brandon. At 95 he still looked quite a lot better than most of the others attending, and in years after still occasionally gave interviews around 4/5 May, the national days of war remembrance and celebration. He's lived to a grand old age but still sad to see him go as one of the more known surviving Dutch veterans of the Second World War.

    From Cleric To Relic

And he's only 62 years old. Ofcourse the robes, wheelchair and his weight don't make him look younger but I would have thought him to be mid-70's.

    1. Jimmy Carter

While that's true, Lyndon B. Johnson passed away a month later (hence 22 Jan 1973)
  24. ThereWillBeDeaths7

    1. Jimmy Carter

And a flimsy reason for Carter to stay alive for at least 73 days: on January 22, it'll be 50 years since the death of LBJ, the last Democratic president to pass away.
  25. ThereWillBeDeaths7

    1. Jimmy Carter

Bush just missed out, he died November 30, 2018. Besides Dole you could add George Washington, Harry Truman, Gerald Ford, John Glenn and Harry Reid to the US political deaths in December. Smaller ones in recent years too, like Eugene McCarthy, Robert Bergland, Frederick Dent, Johnny Isakson.
