Oldest Living State Leaders DP II (2024-?)
ThereWillBeDeaths7 replied to diego's topic in Dead Pools
César Yanes Urias please -
I'd say Clinton will pass away in or around 2030. He's had multiple health issues in the last couple of years and loads of people pass away before their mid-eighties. I can't see him living past 83-84.

Sir Ian McKellen still recovering at home from his fall, in a neck brace and his right hand remains splinted. He also says he has relived the accident many times, and is afraid to leave his home. "I don’t go out because I get nervous in case someone bangs into me, and I’ve got agonising pains in my shoulders to do with my whole frame having been jolted." He is however still talking about taking up acting again once he recovers. I truly hope and believe he will return to the stage/set again, but I'll be checking in on his health more often than before. As many of us have said before, a fall at that age can often be the start of a slow decline.

The Fucking 2024 Olympics
ThereWillBeDeaths7 replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Now that Paris 2024 nears its close, The Netherlands did a great job at the Olympics! Sixth in the end rankings which is our best result in history, even ahead of GB + North Ireland. Fifteen gold medals, breaking the record of Sydney 2000 (twelve); and 34 medals in total, only three below the record-number 37 in Tokyo 2021. It will be quite the challenge to beat this result in coming Games. Some outstanding moments/Olympians during the Games: - ofcourse the 4×400 mixed relay: with Femke Bol turning a fourth place into a gold medal in less than a round; - Bol winning a bronze and silver medal each later during the games - there are a lot of great Dutch athletes at the moment but she's just outstanding; - Both women's and men's hockey team winning gold, the first nation to do so in the history of the Olympics; - cyclist Harrie Lavreysen winning gold medals at the sprint, the team sprint and the keirin - added to his previous two medals in Tokyo, he has become the most succesful Dutch Olympian ever at the Summer Olympics; - the 3×3 basketball team, winning the finals against France in the last seconds; - Sifan Hassan winning gold at the marathon this morning, having won bronze medals at the 5000 and 10.000 meters as well. And to think The Netherlands had no medals after five days! -
Former US senator from Idaho Steve Symms passed away on August 8, at the age of 86. Symms was a member of the senate from 1981-1993, and a US representative 1973-1981.

The Happy Birthday Thread
ThereWillBeDeaths7 replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
A happy birthday to you! All the best and wish you a lovely day. -
Guess the DNC really wants Tim as VP. After Tim Kaine in 2016 and Tim Walz in 2024, will they go with Tim the Enchanter next time?

Really wish you the best @TQR Of course I'm not familiar with your exact situation. But I could imagine stress / a busy daily life being a possible factor for your head not getting in a relaxed state? Hopefully you can find a solution to it soon, and if it helps for you, talk about it with friends or others close to you. When I have some occasional problems, mental health related or the likes, writing about it also helps for me. Anyway, I hope you can sleep better soon and please let us know if you need someone to talk to. -
I'm afraid I will probably not play in round 6. A combination of busy life, a holiday abroad and (for me) difficult categories to research. But I'm looking forward to join up for round 7 and good luck to everyone in the upcoming game!

He reportedly was the last living great-grandchild of King Christian IX of Denmark (r. 1863-1906)

With the death of Ray Lawler, there are only two contenders left (just as many as for the 20/20 residual game): Agnes Keleti (Annami) vs Dan Tolkowsky (Chilean Way) We're in the endgame now.

I'll go with my first sub, William H. Webster

Kill or Save: UK No.1 Hits of the 10s
ThereWillBeDeaths7 replied to TQR's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Thanks @TQR!! And apologies accepted, he has some good songs in my opinion but I understand not all of it is, ehm, perfect! Thanks to you as well @Book!! And I think that might be true, Perfect was the wedding song of my wife's uncle and aunt too back in 2018. We chose two songs for our wedding to reflect both of our tastes; an instrumental version of Show Yourself (Frozen II) and Mr. Blue Sky -

Wow, this list of no1 hits takes me back. Most of them were released around the time when I met my (then) girlfriend, and multiple of them (yes, including Ed Sheeran) were sort-of anthems of our early relationship. Since then, we've graduated, both lost multiple loved ones, but also got our first appartment and registered our partnership last month, becoming husband and wife. Anyways, bye Despacito. 17/07/2024 29 Harry Styles — Sign Of The Times 24 Mike Posner — I Took A Pill In Ibiza 22 Clean Bandit — Rockabye 22 Camila Cabello ft. While updating the 1922 residual game, I realised I hadn't updated this one in a while. 2,5 year after the 1921 residual game started, we've got our podium contenders. They are: - Agnes Keleti (Annami) - Ray Lawler (Bibliogryphon) - Dan Tolkowsky (Chilean Way) 4. Sir Anthony Epstein (Yvonne) 6th February 2024 5. Evelyn Witkin (ThereWillBeDeaths7) 8th July 2023 6. Françoise Gilot (Death Impends) 6th June 2023 7. Bill Butler (Marinisia) 5th April 2023

Mildred T. Stahlman's death means I'm out of this residual game. We're on to the final five: Rhoda Wurtele (Yvonne) Jose Sahagun de la Parra (Chilean Way) Rachel Robinson (LadyFiona) Ray Anthony (DoorSlammer) Roland Dumas (WEP) --- 6. Mildred T. Stahlman (ThereWillBeDeaths7) 30th June 2024 7. Micheline Presle (Torva Messor) 21st February 2024 8. Guy Stern (Summer in Transylvania) 7th December 2023 9. Norman Lear (MariNisia) 5th December 2023 10. John B. Goodenough (Bibliogryphon) 25th June 2023 11. Mordechai Bibi (Arghton) 5th February 2023.

I wonder if he'll be cremated...

Even if Carter doesn't outlive all of them, it won't be long before they're all gone. Goldschmidt was the youngest surviving one by almost a decade, having passed away four days shy of his 84th birthday. As you've shown, the other three are in their mid to late nineties and could realistically pass away at any moment. There are three living secretaries from the Ford administration as well; John Knebel (87), David Matthews (88) and Carla Hills (90). It wouldn't surprise me if they outlived Carters remaining secretaries as they're all slightly "younger".

Ton van Baars (1922) (CDA, 1980-1981; 1982-1986) seems to be the oldest living former member of the House of Representatives. While political databases state him to be alive, I can't really find any recent sources supporting this. Reehorst (PvdA, 1956-1967) was the last living representative who was in office during the cabinets of Wim Drees, who was a member of the PvdA as well. According to my research, the five earliest surviving Dutch representatives all came into office following the 1967 national elections or shortly thereafter: Elected at the Dutch elections of 1967: Nico Verlaan (1932) Boerenpartij: 1967-1971; independent: 1971 Minne Dijkstra (1937) D66: 1967-1972 Anneke Goudsmit (1933) D66: 1967-1974 Erwin Nypels (1933-2024) D66: 1967-1972; 1974-1982; 1982-1989 First became a representative after the formation of the new cabinet De Jong: Hans Wiegel (1941) VVD: 1967-1971; 1971-1977; 1981-1982

Thanks, I've updated the list. Rita Kok (84) and Bianca Hoogendijk (64) are the only Dutch PM's significant others who are alive now.

George Koch as my new third sub, please.

She's Edit: actually, my bad. When I responded I was almost sure Biblio had been referred to as female in the past on here but can't find a trace of it anymore on the forum. My mind must've made a false connection; however I'm still on the young side to consider for your shortlists!

Congrats drol, a well deserved victory! Bringing down an immortal seemed like a Herculean task but for you it was super easy, barely an inconvenience!
