Don’t polls suggest Badenoch would beat any of them with the Tory Membership even Jenrick? It’s perfectly possible more MP’s back Jenrick but she wins the Membership like Truss did over Sunak. -

Mel Stride has now been eliminated. Four left. Jenrick -33 Badenoch - 28 Cleverly - 21 Tugendaht - 21 Stride - 16 Clberly being described as underperforming predictions by the media on Twitter. -
It sounds fairly serious by the way it was announced and the statements.

Starmer hinting those Labour mp’s who are set to vote against the Winter fuel cuts will get the whip suspended. Also I feel like the clip of him saying we have to be unpopular could be something that backfired on him if they don’t win the 2029 election. -

Jenrick on top but Membership polls are showing Badernoch as favourite. Could end up with a situation where the majority of MP’s didn’t back who the membership chose. -

Labour rumoured to planning to cut discounted travel for pensioners now. That would be a very very unpopular move and also arguably regressive - if they use the threshold of pension credit pensioners just above it will suffer a lot if they regularly use public transport. It also will be noticed more by the less wealthy - more wealthy pensioners tend to drive, and those who live in Labour voting areas. -

Labour clearly don’t like pensioners because most don’t vote for them. It’s getting more and more blatant. -

I’ve heard it all now. Local supermarket have sacked the security guard because he looked the robbers in rather than letting them escape. -
Lol Keir Starmer should announce his citizenship is being stripped like Shamina Begum’s was. It might well boost his poll ratings.

Good luck to all at the Paralympics. I can’t wait for it to start. For Athens and Bejing due to holidays I saw more of the Paralympics than the Olympics and in 2012 going to the stadium one night was an incredible experience. -

It’s going to cause a lot more problems than I think some younger people in the Labour Party’s membership who were openly celebrating the news when it was announced back in July were aware of. There was clearly some ignorance of how Pension credit works. Many of the people they see as vital public workers predecessors are getting it cut but they suddenly saw them as wealthy elite. I see the Daily Mirror is being pretty critical of Starmer as well as the more right leaning papers.
